I just realized "Burn The Rain" has roughly the sane melody as an old swedish summertime carol. Thanks Kurt, for giving me an idea for a grungey opposite-of-yuletide cover! ;D
For the record...Kurt is is yelling "Hey!" not "Pain!" on You Know You're Right. Which was conveniently altered after his death. Clear as day, listen to the live version, it's even more powerful. Just knowing it was being heard for the first time in that room by those people, and the lyrics are far more involved. "You've Got No Right" was the original name, as Courtney had no right playing it on her unplugged.
Yup. "Things have never been so swell! I have never failed to fail. Heeeeeeeayeaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaayayaaaaaaa!" Not "I hear never failed to feel Paaaaaaaaaaaain!" I can understand the confusion, but you are correct...
Courtney shouldn't have ever played any Nirvana/Cobain songs ever. And I agree that the Live version is so much more emotional and involved. It's ashame the quality is so poor. But even though it's not a good recording I still listen to it anyway because I thought it was such a wonderful song. I remember the studio version coming out and I was so excited. It's a great song but I wish we had a sound board recording of the live version.
Well, Nirvana by itself is grunge, practically, they popularized the term, so, don't you mean, they sound more like soundgarden or alice in chains 'couse they are "real" grunge or something like that?
Nobody Knows I'm New Wave is such an amazing, sadly unrecorded, noisy, punk rock masterpiece. They only played it live that I know of but To Boddah did a great cover to bring what was basically an abstract idea to life.
I 100% think do re mi would have been a solo project
Yup

@@mr79843 It was originally called "You've Got No Right" as Courtney played it on her unplugged. She had no fucking right.
@@mr79843 all we have is the autopilot bootleg...

God damn just imagine what the next album could have possibly sounded like.
Like the same style
this sounds more grunge than their other songs
By what standard could anyone possibly define what "more grunge" even means?

They did a pretty good job, but the song was written for Iggy Pop anyway.
Glad someone did a studio recording after all these years. :)
