The old themes were good, quite impressive considering they were made by a minor, but this ones are just as nice The more melodic parts kind of remind me to the type of music you'd hear on old science documentaties (very fitting) While the eerie ones on the other hand are quite unnerving, really make you tense up I hope that some time in the future, after the game launches, that both osts can be legible for implementation so we can have variants playing, but only time will tell if by that point the other artist wants to get patched-in lol
I've never created anything in Wallpaper Engine before, but imagine a wallpaper like this: it could take information from your PC's RTC and adjust according to the time of day.
@@Wolfeni Yeah! Watch the latest VotV stream and around 4:56:30 Joel asked who made the music because he really liked it! (sorry for the late reply, I was looking for the timestamp hehe)
I just wanted to stop by and say how well you nailed the soundtrack. The calm eeriness of the mid day. The anxiety of approaching night. The paranoia of the middle of the night. And especially the relief I feel when I hear the morning music. It reminds me of the feeling of safety when you hear the save room music in an RE game. Awesome job!
Recently got to playing the game past day 2 and I'm loving it so far! You did an amazing job with these themes, and the main menu one. I love how comforting the first two are and then the other two just cement how alone you are, making everything seem so alien when you're just paranoid (at least most of the time, I see more than 3 entities on my radar way too much!)
Did it really have to change as soon as i expressed how much i loved and obsessed over the old morning and evening soundtracks Don't get me wrong I'm not hating on the new soundtracks, now they are more ambient instead of being "hard to miss", which fits more for, you know, ambience. But what i loved about the old soundtracks is how much mood and feeling they had, the morning ambience was perfect for a "another day another job" type of situation, and the eveing is like "night falls as the darkness consumes the land around you revealing potential threats", just so perfect, in my opinion
Also have to mention that those literally sound like morning and night arriving, like, it's hard to explain, but it's a similar kind of situation to when people can taste or hear colors, it's just a thing that happens in one's mind, and in my case I found those sounds the perfect sounds ever for morning and evening when you're at an isolated job
@@HameleoshaDeHoga thank you for your very good critiscism ! The main issue behind the old ambience was that it was made by a minor, and so the dev (MrDrNose) couldn't plan on monetizing his game on Steam if there was a minor's work (this is his words)
@@Wolfeni okay, that makes sense. Well, at least I got to hear those soundtracks, and maybe if the old versions will stay available with only the release being monetized then we'll be able to always come back to hear them
@@HameleoshaDeHoga there's this website which host every VoTV's updates and patches from the very beginning, you can play versions prior to 0.6.2 to hear the old ambiences :3 invotek.net/releases
soundtrack fits into game atmosphere perfectly, becoming really important part of it, do you planning to release it on streaming? at least after game release?
20:20 is genuinely scared me when i heard it for the first time. I had feeling that someone watched me for like 20 minutes after these sounds.
Well, that is the point of this particular bit, glad I scared you x3
genuienly one of the most beautiful video game things
true

Now old themes fit well with 03:00 09:00 15:00 and 21:00... and they are is very fit.. in new time places

Обои в смысле прям такие же на видео? Можно ли их где то скачать? Если они вообще есть
Ps. Also, congrats on the well earned mini shout-out you got on Joel Vargskelethor's latest stream! He seemed to like your work!
Oh he did make a shout-out to myself? :o

amazing work, it fits the game perfectly
The new ambience is pretty neat. I really love the morning theme. However, I find the old evening theme better due to the unnerving feel it gives me.
Fair enough! :3
enough to make a grown man cry
But not this one!
Tear, get back in there!

Beautiful!
Deserves much more recognition

This is a great work

yesss so good 😍
i think, that is the night theme is ruined. I really liked the one note theme.
I agree, while the rest is good the old night theme was better imo
