I've just started replaying this game with my 6year old, and loving this content of tourneys that i didn't know existed! One bit of feedback is that I would really like to see the draft portion, and more team analysis before the matches, if possible of course :)
a lovely semifinal! The matchup definitely favored Barrel, the grummy + krakaturtle core in particular is super troublesome for a debuff + stack team like this to deal with, and it really showed. If they got rolling, it was just an unbreakable wall. Kame really popped off too, it had a weakness to exploit on most of the team and it did it wonderfully, nice job Barrel on identifying what would do best against the debuff squad. Props to Jagomu as well for putting up a good fight against a tough matchup, that Thornish was the mvp of the games even if it couldn't quite hack it.
Excellent match by both players. I would have liked to see the drafting phase, as well, though this was very interesting to watch. I think that considering how invested in debuffs Jagomu's team was, focusing down Grummy was likely going to be the best avenue to victory there, since curse resistance shut down their team so hard. I also think that maybe using Grey Pearl on rampede could have been a solid choice considering how little buffing their team did. Barrel's team was very interesting, for sure. I wonder what other monsters were drafted, since eagle in particular seemed very out of place there
I wish this game had a larger audience. It works surprisingly well as a competitive Esport. Guess it's not for everyone though.

I think I would not have mind seeing totem on Grummy in game 4, considering how vital it was. The sheltered makes the starting shield extra valuable.
That Krakaturtle + Grummy combo was crazy. I wonder why he took out Krakaturtle on the second round.
