Thanks to God, I was recently born again and saved (after a lifetime of being a devout catholic). This happened when I started reading the Bible, seeking a stronger relationship with God. Long story short, with lots of prayer and repentance, it was if the scales literally came off my eyes and my “old suit” was shed when I was born again in Christ. I am not the same person, nor will I ever be, I am truly renewed and I can’t get enough of reading and studying scripture (much to my family and friends’ dismay). The toughest part is seeing my husband and family think my conversion is “fine for me”, but that a transformation of mind is not essential for salvation and to worship God, because they hold tightly to their catholic teachings. I’ve yet to effectively evangelize anyone else, and in fact nobody wants to hear (or even ask) about my conversion and journey to being born again. Most think it’s just weird or extreme. I do know it’s the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me, and I’m so grateful to God for His patience and love. The truth will set us free.

I for one want to hear about your experience with God, with Jesus, you have a good story and testimony of Him similar to others I have read about, so be encouraged and hopeful, and pray for your family, this of yours is encouraging for me and surely it pleases Him "... having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, ..." 1 Peter 1:23, and He can use you and your witness

@Mark OnTheBlueRidge Yes, I’ve prayed heavily on this scripture, because it’s extremely hard for me not to share what I’m learning from scripture to my teens and husband with my passion and zeal. I get a lot of defensive and argumentative responses from my husband, which is impeding and confusing my teens’ perspective on my conversion to “truth in the Bible trumps wisdom of the world”, which I passionately adhere to. I appreciate all prayers to help me react wisely and with prudence when up against his combative responses. I feel that my role is so important in guiding my two teens, who grew up in the Catholic Church, who now see mom and dad not agreeing on religious matters, salvation, etc. it’s tough, and I keep working on myself to be the model my kids need to have. It would be so much stronger to our teens if my husband and I aligned, and if he was born again in Christ, since he should be the spiritual authority in the home. But I ultimately do put my trust in God and His timing (and not mine). Thanks for your prayers!!

@@omarperez4010 Thank you so much for your words! I have this strong desire to share my conversion with my family and friends, because they of all people know how much of a devout catholic I was. I honestly thought they would want to know why I got baptized and consider myself a born-again Christian.. but I quickly realized when I would start to tell them how amazing reading scripture is and how it led me to such a greater understanding of the Gospel that I never had before,.... I get the polite “oh that’s really nice. I’m glad for you”, and then they’re ready to change the subject. In fact one of my long-time friends (a very liberal agnostic) has not called or messaged me since I told her the good news of my conversion. I guess I was more appealing as a friend who was catholic and who embraced all the things of the world 😢. Thank you for letting me vent a bit, but also to listening to my testimony. God is so good, and I feel truly blessed to have repented and be renewed in our Savior, Jesus Christ.

I completely agree. We can quote so much verses, attend all these services/events, say we know God hundreds of times but unless we are born again and have an actual relationship with God, it means nothing. Stay safe, guys.

Do you believe Jesus died for your sins and rose again on the 3rd day and is now seated in Heaven at the right hand of the Father? If you believe that He died to reconcile us back to the Father you are saved.
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Many “Christians” know about God, but they don’t know God. I cannot agree with this enough. Indigenous Missionaries I know from Asia and South America think we need persecution to separate the sheep from the goats. I love how he compares it to social media relationship to real person relationship. So true.

Amen!!! This is why Orthodox Christians always say, "come and see!" It can be a bit frustrating when you're looking into the Church to get some questions answered and then to have that said to you at the end of it all. The truth is, however, that it's imperative! Especially when so much of what we "know about God" has come from traditions and men whom have miscommunicated Who God is. To use the analogy given in the video, you could learn a whole lot about a person that was wrong and the only way to know would be to actually meet the person and enter into relationship with them.
To quote Fr. Edward Rommen on the subject, "The idea of coming and seeing is, after all a pattern established by the earliest Christians and it is clearly documented in the New Testament. Consider what happened when some of the disciples came to Nathaniel and told him that they had found the savior (John 1:43-51). As we enter the story, Jesus already had four followers-Andrew and Peter, John and James. Now he is introduced to Phillip, perhaps by Andrew and Peter who lived in the same town. Notice what Phillip does next. He goes and finds Nathaniel and gives Nathaniel some information about Jesus, that he is the one “…of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” But, Nathaniel who hasn’t met Jesus yet responds skeptically, as if to say, “you can’t expect me to believe that.” Obviously information about Jesus was just not enough. What I find most fascinating is that Phillip doesn’t argue the point. He simply says come and see for yourself, in other words, come and meet Him yourself."
    Indeed... come and see! ☺️❤️🙏

Alisa and Sherby I know those who are saved, the born again Christians are not like those wicked people, the cultural Christians who are going to be left behind forever burning in the sulfuric fires. And we know who we are because we are not them. Both of you have such a different take on things here from Jesus teaching on the Sermon with has to do with us all being together. God raining on the just and the unjust alike. That we are by definition an unity of being. So that any lamb that wonders off the prodigal son you go find it and bring back. And be glad because you have increase that he still in the group. You know tha everbody who is loose is our failure.

It’s so interesting to me that many Christians are not born again. I was not raised with religion, but more new age type beliefs. But I was born again 2 years ago (testimony on my channel.) When I started going to church, I noticed how Spirit filled believers feel so different. There is a light and life in their eyes. Fervency. Hunger for scripture. I worry about the complacency of people raised in religion as a cultural identity.

The biggest problem I see with this "cultural Christianity" is that many believe the wrong gospel and then become disappointed by it.
Too many think that the gospel is about a changed life or reforming culture in one way or another. It is not. It is about Jesus Christ and Him crucified and resurrected.
When we believe this gospel of Christ, God gives us the gift of His righteousness and then He sees us as in Christ. Any good reformation personally, culturally, or socially is a byproduct and not the gospel.

The interesting thing about Matt. 7:21-23 is that all those things they claimed to do were not evil or sinful things! Christ, Himself, did those things so He's not condemning them for being sinful. He condemned them for not knowing HIM! They thought their good works earned them a place in Heaven, that somehow Jesus owed them Heavenly "wages" because they were working for Him.

John 6:47: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, hath everlasting life." No believer should be afraid of Jesus saying I never knew you. It should not scare a believer. The scripture doesn't say, "Do we know him". John 10:24 KJV "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish". He knows us because we believe. That makes us His sheep. Also, He will say "I never knew you" to those who do not believe on judgment day. "Believers will not come under judgment but have passed from death to life" John 5:24. "Nothing will pluck us from the hands of Jesus" John 10:24. Brothers and sisters, rest assured that God is faithful to keep His promises. Nothing we do saves us or keeps us saved. It was our belief in Jesus that saved us eternaly! Be blessed on do not be afraid!

Born again of the SPIRIT is having a circumcised heart to keep God's laws. The New Covenant promises to have God's laws written on our hearts- Psalm 119:11. We are then grafted into Israel, just as Ruth and Rahab were. God has now been brought close, and his Covenant promises are for us too. The Book of Ruth has a beautiful picture of this at the end, when Ruth pulls the corner (tzitzit cords/commandments) of Boaz's GARMENT over her. Or the women who is healed as she reaches for God's TRUTH (commandments/tzitzit) on the corner of Jesus Garment- Psalm 119:142... And during the Passover he drank the Cup of Wrath described in the Old Testament, the one the adulteress bride is supposed to drink. We are the adulterous bride! We have worship the golden calf, Christmas and Easter. We are to Worship in spirit and Truth, God has proclaimed His holy days (FEASTS) not man's tradition. Jesus came on a FEAST, probably Tabernacles; when the angels Trumpeted His arrival and He came to dwell in TENTS with man (Feast of Tabernacles). If you love ME, you will obey MY Commandments, and they are not BURDENSOME. Who CHANGED God's appointed times, FEASTS? (Daniel 7:25) Who CHANGED God's laws dealing with Sabbath and IDOLATRY? Roman Catholic Church, the MOTHER of harlots, whose bishops wear red and purple, carrying golden goblets, responsible for mass murder of saints, changing laws and TIMES (Revelation 17:4-6). Mother of Harlots??? Who are those harlots? We are that man! 33,000 denominations of Christianity who reject and rebel against the word of God, seeking to cut up Jesus garment. (Isaiah 61:10... What jewels? See Proverbs). God's bride will be clothed in HIS Torah, walking in loving obedience, faithful and pleasing to her husband. Washed in the water of HIS WORD.....

I think it would have been extremely difficult for someone to have conversations with me about why I'm not saved and just acting like it. I'm very strong and opinionated wow and The Lord KNEW this. He saved me while sitting in a bus from school reading a book about peacemaking by Ken Sande. He drew me away from my home and brought me to China so he can calk me to himself in the most non dramatic BUT POWERFUL way, alone from any influence.

Definition of SIN = breaking God's Law 1John 3:4..... Definition of LOVING GOD = KEEPING God's commandments 1John 5:3.... Definition of SPIRIT vs. FLESH = submitting to God's Laws or REBELLION against GOD'S LAWS Romans 8:7..... Jesus did NOT come to start His own religion apart from God.... The church has lied to us.... The Pharisees DID NOT KEEP GOD'S LAWS.... Acts 7:53/ Matthew 15:3 and 6/ John 7:19 (killing Jesus is killing God's word-Law-witness)..... Jesus says LISTEN to MOSES and Prophets.... Luke 16:31/Matthew 23:2... Jesus says Keep God's Laws.... Matthew 19:17B/ Matthew 5:17-20.... God's word planted in us should lead to deviance, good fruit. But Satan's twisting of scripture, leads to tares, and rebellion against God's WORD (Jesus). Jesus is the word of God made flesh, so why would we ever believe He would want us to disobey God? He leads us back to God, and gently disciplines us as we learn His Commandments; just as He did Abraham.

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl’s owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
