Great review thanks. So you confirm this will work on a 2014 Mac Mini using the HDMI port? Any way of transmitting the video signal wirelessly to the monitor? To avoid the use of cables
For drawing, you'll want something with an active digitiser - a screen that recognises the pen, can recognise different levels of pressure for thick and thin strokes, and is able to ignore your hand when you rest it on the surface so it doesn't register unintended input. That's the kind of display you get in your iPads and Microsoft Surface Pro. This one looks like it has a capacitive display, meaning it'll only accept input from your hand or a stylus that mimics your hand. Any time you see a stylus with that kind of large soft rounded end, it's a pretty safe bet at it's used with a simpler display (though I have one with a slim tip, they do exist). You can use a capacitive stylus on any touch display, since they mimic the effect of a finger, but something like the Apple pencil or Surface Pro pen will only work with compatible displays - the hardware needs to be built in to the display. Unfortunately. I looked REALLY HARD for a way to get my smartphone to have palm rejection, I really wanted to use my 6.9" display with an active stylus 😂

@jTeoh Yi Chie. I would like to ask you two questions about this device as i cannot find it anywhere. So first of all, i feel like this device is first and foremost very misleading, it is a 'portable' monitor, but i understand that it still needs a PHYSICAL (cable) connection to actually use the screen? If that is the case, and it also uses the USB for power, then why even bother with the battery pack? That said, I wonder about two things: Can this device be used through for example a (mini hdmi or usb) WiFi dongle to wirelessly connect to another device's video output, like a laptop or PC? I know there are wifi (and bluetooth) dongles that you can connect to a regular desktop monitor, but i wonder whether the HDMI (or USB) port of this device would actually even take it.
