December 2017 makes the 75th anniversary of the world's first artificial nuclear chain reaction, which was achieved at the University of Chicago.
That major scientific feat precipitated the development of nuclear power plants that have electrified millions of homes, businesses and factories around the world. Though decades ole, nuclear energy's story is beginning a new chapter.
