I just bought an 1881 ten dollar U.S. gold coin for $950. No flaws on it whatsoever. It's beautiful and I love it. I came on here to learn more about it. Good video. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful specimen 😍 Good ol' Us pre 33 GOLD!!! Yep, original 13 colonies 😊 So happy to finally see this video! I moved Friday and Saturday and everything is chaos! My "watch later" list is humongous! 😀 Lol. I love Silverbug, but that gorgeous Peace Dollar stole the show! And you stole the Peace Dollar! Lol 😂 Nice win!
+Silver Vessel I thought it was the 13 colonies I don't know why I was hesitant I love that period of History! Thanks very much for watching my friend and thanks for the vote for the peace dollar have a feeling this one's going to be the outright winner!
Another excellent choice, winning deservingly! I am a huge fan of this coin, STUNNING piece my friend. If it was me I would not have it graded, to not be able to touch it again would be a travesty. I vote for the peace dollar, thank you for sharing buddy
I do not know about the collectable content of these coins, but if they are all genuine gold coins you probably have about $4000 worth of gold with them.
Very nice pre-33 piece that you have there. I also just started developing an interest in pre-33 gold, and had picked up my first St. Gaudens double eagle. I'll be doing a video on it shortly, and am having the same questions as you as to whether to grade it or not. Fortunately for you, you have Uncle Numistacker nearby who can facilitate the grading process at a reasonable cost. If I had such a resource, I would definitely send it in just to preserve it in it's current condition, as you mentioned. Peace dollar gets my vote. Thanks for providing such great reviews on your IFF segments!
+SemiNumiGuy I love pre-33 gold - just so nice and harks back to a bygone era of awesome coinage. My next coin is going to be a $20 coin at some point. Appreciate your comment and thanks for the vote!
As you know mine is on the way bud. Soooo excited. The 1883 is a real find. Wonderful condition. This week I will be leaning on THE BUG LOL. I love the 8 but the bug got me today eh.
It is 11/2020 now and your gold coin is worth about £775. These are very popular in the US. Good job. (Yes the stars are for the 13 original colonies).
Great Video! Been buying $5 liberty heads with ebucks and using the ebucks earned on rolls of silver eagles. About to pull the trigger on the $10 liberty with the 13% ebucks offer!
The 13 stars represent the original colonies. They were designed by Christian Gobrecht and are actually called Coronet Head Gold coins. The 1882 (P) is not a key date. It should grade at least AU50
Beautiful coin. I wouldnt part with it, ever. Dont bother grading it. Youll just end up paying more for it. The fee would raise your expense for the coin. I love the lack of shine. Its easier to see the details. To me, its perfect.

I love the classic American gold coins. I have the $2 1/2 liberty coin. Its the only gold coin i have in my collection for now.
I have this coin.
Should i polish so looks shinny? Or it's better look dirty and old like that in the video?
Did you ever get the coin graded?
I was wondering the same thing!
@Ken-o7j yes! MS62!!
What is price of this coin in 2020?
How many grams of gold are in a 10 piece?
How much is this now. I have one with necklace
Gosh, I dont know off the top of my head,

+shiny packAGe I love this coin, I think getting it graded would be a mistake. I would rather enjoy it as God intended!
i have a 4 10 dollar gold coins, and 1 20 dollar gold coins 1897, how much the value, and how can i sell?

+JRW3 I thought they would be for the 13 colonies. It is just a bullion grade coin so not a problem to have a big standard coin!
Very nice coin I'm glad you showed it. I'll vote for the peace dollar.
+Alexander R De Voogt I am happy it won as I wanted to have a look for ages! Thanks for the vote!
I vote for the peace dollar. I really enjoy your Focus Friday Vids. Thanks
+carl cotton thanks for the vote!
I have one... How much value??
Nice coin! I just got a similar one. 👍
I own 2 “pieces of 8” or 8 reales from 1741, that was recovered from the shipwreck El Cazador.
Very nice coin and not so common. I vote for the silver bug round.
Thanks for the vote!
As you can tell from the price you paid, this is not a gradable coin. However, an airtite will do just fine.
+MétéoMan yes indeed, I had a similar purchase last year that turned into an MS 62! s
Can you forge gold?
+John A it is possible indeed - I will be hopefully pouring gold at some point in the future!
