For me, Halo is so much more than a first-person shooter
For every true halo fan that grew up with halo!
Shame so many content creators seem to subtly hate the classic halo experience or actively want it gone.
I grew up without my dad so Chief sort of played the role of a father figure to me so I can relate to this comment

All that's missing is some sci-fi Halo birds flying around in the background. This was amazing with the ambiance. The Halo OST is irreplaceable, beautiful, and tugs directly at my soul
343 did alot of messy forerunner stuff, but these towers, this music? honestly It gives me pause, it's beautiful.

Halo 4 was pretty good halo 5 was trash.but halo infinite is just something else........ it will be revolutionary
Halo 4 isnt Halo... Its like the Disney Starwars movies, it looks the same, but it isnt, it totally lost the spirit and vision... You cant just repackage something and call it the original... I am so sick of everything halo being tainted by this rewrite garbage, I cant even play the original games without this filth messing with it...
At this point, I'll forgive them for 4 and 5 if Infinite does it right. Not getting my hopes up or anything, but we'll see. The artstyle and story we've seen so far for it are definitely a step in the right direction after the garbage artsyle that every 343 Halo had before.
@Jacob Baltzegar "its time for the next generation to rise" I dont recall Obi-Wan going back in time and altering the whole thousand year history of the Jedi... Things change, in the future, not in the past... All three games, and several books, made in plain that the Forerunners are human. Halo 1: engine room scene 'oh to have a record of all of our lost time, human history is it?' Halo 3: just before the ark is destroyed 'you are the child of my maker, inheritor of all they left behind, you are forerunner' Why is it that only humans can activate forerunner technology? Because that technology was tied genetically to their own race... Making the Forerunners a different race and in opposition to humanity is a catastrophic rewrite that ruins everything that came before it... This isnt about 'new generations' this is about burning the whole franchise down because 'wouldnt it be cool if....' fuck that...
@@davidross5640 Only the people at Bungie (at that time) had the right vision and I think it was wise to end the .. real .. Halo story at 3. That way it would end at its peak and not inevitably fall in quality because of corporate pressure to milk the franchise. Halo 4 and 5 are the results of that pressure to keep a game, that carried the Xbox on its shoulders, alive by force. Infinite is betting on fanservice and marketing towards older halo players, but the game's soul is not the same. Here's hoping it at least respects the previous soul and doesn't only try to take advantage of peoples' nostalgia and hope. 343 better not fuck this up.
@@SpartanG007 I think ODST can fit in there. It wasnt perfect but it had its charms, there were some firefly nods in there that i appreciated. It told a good human story that was parallel to the actual events. I think maybe the odst's were a little overpowered as far as their regen ability but I really liked the thermal hud and the open city scape vibes, it felt rewarding to go and search for equipment in every nook and cranny. Its like a spinoff that really appreciated the main story, it had respect...
@@davidross5640 Ah, I never excluded ODST. I meant final as in story-wise chronologically. Same with Reach.
