I love the depth of the lore to this game. The idea that the invasion of the Nether led the Overworld to discover war and that, along with the disagreements between illagers and villagers, caused the Overworld to devolve into chaos.
So is Minecraft story mode canon or no?
@@jakefrm8354 Kind of. It reveals how the world is set up, but the idea of the Underneath doesn’t sit well with me. I do love their interpretation of how powerful a mob with a command block can become, and I love how they showcase the Farlands.

Random note: If you want to take an hour to clear the zombie base or two hours to break a horde base, you can opt not to use golems at all and instead slowly build towers ever closer and closer to the enemy nether portal until your imitation of medieval siege warfare (sadly sans trebuchet) finally pays off.
It's exactly as resource intensive as it sounds, it VERY much involves recycling buildings you just built a few minutes ago, even confining yourself to this strat you could probably still do it faster, and yes I've sadly learned all this from experience.
On the plus side, by the time you're done the enemy's base is basically just YOUR base now.

@@toycat spyglass tower with some red stone launchers and you don’t even need summons as long as you cure some netherrack close to but out of range of counter attacks
I know this is coming out of Left field but the combat in this game reminds me of Warhammer 40K lore in Warhammer 40K you have these super strong and named the characters who are basically invincible running into battle with their almost invincible honor guard completing objectives and killing a seemingly endless amount of normal enemy soldiers. I haven't played this game yet but that's what the gameplay looks like to me.
I can't wait to play this, I played a game as a kid that was essentially the same thing dumbed down, it was called lego battles...I played it for literally a 1000 hours

The cutscene with the player looks like some kind of hybrid Java and Bedrock edition. The vibrant colors of bedrock with the features of java.

@@Un-known-117 Naw man he's right, MC dungeons did and still doesn't have any replay value whatsoever since there is absolutely no endgame or unique reason to play the other modes. The recent updates do nothing but add more battle passes

Tbh im dissapointed with the ending. I beat the final boss in under 5 minutes by just spawning 35 skeletons 5 mossy guys, and the 4 giant golems and running back and forth to keep bringing new ones. Didnt have to clear any structures or enemies around the area. Was hoping for more a challenge. Keep on mind this was 2nd hardest difficulty.
Then theres no cutscene about that cloaked hoglin after we defeat the final boss???
On top of in my world there is 1 question mark left but when i go to it theres nothing there nor around it
People say the game isn't worth it based on the time but maybe the quality should be considered over quantity of seconds

This is why everybody’s always complaining there’s no content. Everybody wants to be the first one to get through it and show everything it has first, then bust it out in 10 hours.

@@Ledbottom86 Ppl who play videogames have this illusion about the value of their entertainment. Besides books and television subscriptions videogames are probably the most content for your dollar when it comes to entertainment. I could buy a basketball and spend countless hours doing the same thing. If players can't play for more than 10 hours because of a lack of "content" that's on them. It's an RTS go play some pvp after you finish the story. Also the animation quality and cutscenes are way above the average Rts out there. Some games are obviously way higher quality and a better choice for your money but that doesn't make other games not worth when they already exceed the standard of entertainment in the world.

Providing a story for the Origin of the Vindicators was unexpected.
I have a question, I destroyed every base and outpost and unlocked literally everything. Now, the zombie base is still burning on the map which is weird. Also the horde of the bastion tries to upgrade it selves but I destroyed it and it still wants to upgrade. What do I do I'm stuck ?

It looks unfinished and 40$ just to right click a lot and do a fetch quest seems kinda annoying.
Well I’ve played it for a while and I’m so glad I didn’t buy it, free with game pass, I just found it bit boring tbh and far to much fiddling to do simple things. Really don’t see the attraction, the fact you completed it so quickly says it all

I’d like to know your title philosophy. I’m not a UA-camr, but I feel like putting how long it took in the title. would dissuade some people from viewing the content, as they already got the information they want.

Wish I could play. Chunks won't load, I get stuck in infinite loading screens, can't sign in to my Microsoft, can't invite my friends. And I'm on a PS5 it's really ridiculous
£40 for 10 hours of gameplay on release is a ridiculous price for this game.
Or you can awaken the firsts and make the bosses look like childs play and complete the game in 6 hours XD

I love the game but there is a game breaking glitch where it is impossible to get into the Piglins bases, where there are walls surrounding the entirety of the base, and you cannot build ramps up above it, also the mobs cannot pass the walls
break the walls using cobblestone golems or creepers, thats their thing!

I’m having so much trouble beating this on legendary
I got the first cut scene before the night beacon, destroyed it without building the wellhouse, got the second cut scene, and it ended up breaking my save file :( :( I didn't realize it was broken until 8 hours in, having discovered everything on the map and destroyed all of the ouposts and most of the bases.
So this is a prequel to Minecraft?
Aren't those things that you see at the beginning that narrate you through the game, the people that talk at Minecrafts ending screen?
The game refers to them as "the hosts". As if they're just people hosting a Minecraft server. Also, we see 2 charxters speaking at the end of minecraft, where we have 3 in Legends: Foresight, Action, and Knowledge. If using these three, the credit scene was likely a conversation between Knowledge and Foresight.
Adding on to that, it's possible that Action represents the yellow text in chat ("Player has joined the game")

from this video I see the maps are different. It could have little replay value with that but for me with it beat I am done with it unless i play with others. Kinds of a sad repeat of dungeons and no replay except for hard core people. Glad it was Day one game pass because after playing I would not have ever paid the retail price for it. $40 basically for 10 hours of playtime and nothing else to do except for their lost legends every month that the first is just a wave tower def

The idea of having an actual Java player sent to this universe is super cool especially when you do the “friendly crouch” at the portal just shows that MOJANG and Microsoft pay attention to the community and how they work

The best strat for taking out any base is sending like 30 creepers and the portal, usually one big push to take it down
I love minecraft and I play it almost every day but I will never play this. It just looks stupid. Id lose interest almost immediately.

Idk why they think this is worth $40, 10 hours of gameplay and mediocre pvp after that isn't really worth that much. Seems fun, but only really worth playing through game pass
Lowest minimum wage in the US is like 7$. Let's say u play 10 hours and stop that's 70$ of your time. People pay like 50$ over the course of 10hrs of movies. The average meal at a cheap restaurant is gonna be like 10-20$. If you value you your own time so little a 40$ game isn't worth that's a you problem. Videogames require many hours from a team of programmers to make. There is better games with more content per dollar but that doesn't make games with less hours not worth at all.
@@blehblah766 that’s why it’s only worth playing through battle pass, most people are only going to play it for a month or two, so spending $20 for 2 months of battle pass is better than spending $40, at least until they add more replay value.
Edit: also, measuring the “value” of a game based on earnings is stupid, if someone earns $30 an hour, a game with an hour of gameplay isn’t worth $30. Obviously, you also compared it to other pastimes as well, which makes far more sense.

That's only $4 for an hour of gameplay made by a full team, manufacturing costs, shipping and advertising etc. It's an extremely good value compared to most entertainment.
Actually, I think I just have a skewed view because many of the games I play are ones that give abnormal amounts of value. Based on other, more average value games, $40 seems a bit high still, but it isn’t as crazy as I originally thought. I played it through game pass and I wouldn’t spend that much on it, but I can see why people would.

@@Melvin-14 pvp is laggy as hell with desync getting you hit across the screen (not an exaggeration), somehow worse than elden rings. and there's no afk kick timers, had some guy straight up afk the entire game last night. The PvP (and game) needs a lot of work for it.
Haven't checked the other game mode out yet but i'm pretty sure it said "monthly challenge"

@@Maradnus Think about it. America believes the minimum value of one hour of your time is 8 dollars. This game provides 10 hours for half that price.
Not to mention the technical issues: Large game companies can afford to sell larger games for less because they know they have a humongous player base that will suck it up. On the other hand, MC Legends is designed to only appease a small sect of the Gaming community, meaning they literally cannot afford to make it that cheap.

Its designed and marketed at the younger audience meaning they will play anygame that is colourful has fun sounds and branded as part of another franchise they enjoy, in this case Minecraft. (even more if their UA-camrs play it "hermits")

I value a game at $1 per hour.
If I pay $60 for a game and I only play it for 20h I have wasted money.
If I buy a game for $20 and get 40h I have got great value.
I do not care what the average wage is as it will not effect how I enjoy a game.

I own 7 Minecraft accounts. Why? because I have 8 months non AFK time in one world. and I enjoy the game and have needed more accounts at times.
