- "The only watch that can keep up with the gray man" is what you will see when visiting Tag Heuer's website.
Ryan Gosling announced his first ever brand partnership with Tag Heuer in late 2021. To celebrate this partnership, Tag Heuer released the new TAG Heuer Carrera Three Hands, and this watch is featured heavily in Gosling’s latest action thriller The Gray Man.
On the 30th and 31st July 2022, Tag Heuer boutique at The Gardens Mall organized an event featuring the movie and the watch, and I was glad to be a part of the event.
I took the opportunity to get some hands on experience with the Carrera 39mm Calibre 5, the exact watch that Gosling wore in the movie.
I would like to thank Tag Heuer boutique at The Gardens Mall and their friendly staffs for allowing me to film the watches.

The movie show cases how tough the watch is being able to handle all the action and explosions really??? Amazing
Nice review! I sold my Rolex datejust 41 and buy this Carrera 39mm black dial and I have been wearing this for more than a month and no regret. This watch is much better than the datejust, in terms of look and comfort. The only thing that it lose out to datejust is the accuracy which is about +10s per day which is not an issue as I like to reset the time daily.
First of all congratulations on your new watch man! And great to see you are enjoying it. Wow you are quite hardcore to reset the time daily 😄 For me I will only reset the time if I see the watch's time is too far off from the time on my phone, or when the power reserve runs out.
I just bought this watch for $600 USD with a leather tag strap in perfect condition. ( Private party ).
Congratulations on picking up the watch!! Great watch indeed and hope you will enjoy it 😊
Amazing watch ⌚
Indeed 😃
Thanks for the review. I really like Carreras and don't quite understand the "hate" Tag Heuer is getting in the watch community. I hope one day this will be my daily but not just yet. I can't justify shelling out 3.1k EUR for a calibre 5 (sellita sw200) movement with that pathetic reserve. Even my Sealander C63 with the same movement has excellent finishing and came at
You literally just described why Tag Heuer gets 'hate' ;). They offer good looking watches but are seriously overpriced for the specs they are providing. If you are looking to buy a Tag make sure to do so on the secondary market. Their value tanks and there they become good deals with 30-50% off MSRP!
@@camels3269 (a bit of a late reply...) I agree with you. But there are other giant brands that do the same. Does e.g. Breitling get the same hate? I don't think so.
Nice review! I recently tried on this watch and also the new red dial Carrera.
Nice nice 😃
The red dail one you mean the limited edition ?
@@yapteckfatt yup the Carrera with chronograph limited to 600 pieces!
Wish I could try that out one day too !
Looks very nice for a sports/dress piece. How do you think this compares to the Seiko SPB165J?
Ahh this is a tough one, I have never handled the Seiko in person yet so my opinion on the Seiko will be based on the info / pics online.
I can see why you being this up because the seiko comes in very similar dimension with the Carrera, 39mm case, 11mm thickness, 47mm lug to lug and 100m water resistance too!
Personally I prefer the dial of the Carrera because I think it is cleaner and more timeless, the date widow at 6 o'clock makes it more symmetrical. Bracelet is solid and I feel I am wearing something substantial and well built when I put it on wrist.
But the Seiko comes with in house 6R35 movement with 70H power reserve, so if that's something important to you then the Seiko can offer that.
That being said, I am not sure if these 2 watches are competing in the same categories because of their retail price difference. So I'd say give both watches a go, try them on if possible and you can probably make a better judgement afterwards :)
@@yapteckfatt Well said and great response! I’ve had my eye on the Carrera line for a while. I like the looks allot….Tag quite often seems to be overpriced and the brand gets overlooked by enthusiasts for some reason. Nice review 👌👌👌
@@timemeasured9137 I can see why you like the look of the Carrera, it indeed is a handsome watch ☺️
What’s your wrist size brother?
Hey man my wrist size is 15.5cm 😄
