Take care William.....do not undestimate your condition........looking at the videos you posted before you getting sick I can notice there is a huge difference in your health status. Wait for Maria and go back with her to Sweden, have a serious check-up and then start travelling again! Take care!

William your symptoms in many ways mirror what happened to my niece. Brea Griffiths had a very long journey. I suggest you start with book through the shadowlands by Julie ?. Brea also ended up in the desert for periods of time. At one point Brea was captain of Princeton women’s soccer team which made it to the final four ncaa. You may not like bread final dilution to saving her life but perhaps elements of her story can help you. On UA-cam she is Brea Katrin. She may be able to offer some advice or at least suggest whether your symptoms are similar. For your sake I hope they are not

William: Not sure how I found your channel. I recently spent 9 months in very rural MEX after being evacuated from a FEMA disaster via volcano eruption in Hawaii. I am an older Auntie, but am an RN and travelled the world with a backpack at your age as well. I want to say: Please take little heed of random peeps online diagnosing your illness. As an RN, I highly suggest you return home for a complete workup. I highly suspect a viral or fungal issue (not diagnosing tho) that needs to be properly diagnosed and treated. You can return to MEX anytime, but you only have one set of lungs. ❤️ PS: As far as diet don't worry as now is the time to pack in extra calories and protein. I would have gone for the chicken, chips, Gatorade and frozen veggies (I used to boil them in the coffee pot while travelling).

Hi William, I'm so sorry to see you like this. Please go home to Sweden for a total checkup, blood work etc. Also, you can go to a clinic and request any type of blood test without a doctor's prescription in Mexico. But don't go where the tourists live, go where the native's live because it is very affordable in their neighborhood.. The neighborhood doctors are very affordable too - about 20 USD for a visit. (They really rip off the tourists in most places). I did that when I was in Mexico. A blood test cost me only 1000 pesos (55 USD). But mainly, I think you are better off returning home, good medical care, good rest, and mom's good food is what you need right now. I see most commenters say the same. ❤

Hi William, I hope you are feeling better now. I am a long-time fan and have watched your videos for quite some time, and I just wanted to point out something that you said in this video. You mentioned that to you, only a few countries in the world are truly nice and then proceeded to mention how only places like the US, Canada, Western Europe, and Australia are nice. If only those countries are nice, then why have you spent all this time traveling through the not-so-nice countries?
Also, in this video and several past ones as well, you complain about the lack of laws, order, and regulation in Mexico, yet you yourself take advantage of this! You have posted a video of yourself leaving Mexico when your tourist permit is about to run out and then coming back in a few days later to get a new set of 180 days rather than doing the correct thing, which would be to apply for temporary residency. We know for a fact that since you are in Mexico under a tourist visa, you are not paying any taxes despite the fact that you have been living in the country for extended periods of time and are obviously generating some income from the videos you film while being there. That's the double-edged sword with a place like Mexico sometimes, you can take advantage of that lack of the rule of law and organization, and other times, that same issue can come and bite you.
Also, no offense, but if you don't want to be constantly treated like a tourist and always be prey for scams, it might help if you tried to assimilate a bit, interact with locals, and explore Mexico outside of beaches and especially outside of what is one of the most touristy areas not just in Mexico but in the entire world. For the amount of time that you have spent in the country, I would have thought that, for example, you would have already had some understanding of the medical system and known that the prices that the hospital wanted to charge you were absolutely insane and not normal at all! I don't think even the best privately run hospitals in Mexico City or Guadalajara would charge you that.
Do not blame the entire country of Mexico for your problems that is not nice at all and furthermore do not try to separate the world into the "nice" and "not so nice" countries when you are someone that clearly has taken advantage of the hospitality and cheap factor of the "not so nice" countries.

That's enough! Please refrain from making negative comments about my country and consider returning to your own as soon as possible. I believe that the constant criticism you express towards my country or any country you visit is detrimental to your well-being. It would be beneficial for you to learn to adapt to the circumstances, traditions, and ways of life in each place you visit. Every country possesses its unique charm, regardless of its wealth. What truly matters is the cultural richness that each country offers, so it would be wise to show gratitude for the experiences and encounters you've had during your stay. Let's set aside any arrogance and, once again, I encourage you to adapt. If you find yourself discontented, remember that the world is vast, and there are numerous options available. You can choose a flight that meets your desired quality standards, comfort level, and, of course, affordability, and explore other destinations. As for your preference for things that are good, beautiful, and reasonably priced, it's worth considering that higher quality often comes with a higher price tag. It's a simple concept. By the way, I regret to inform you that you've lost a follower.

The US doesn’t have a healthcare system. It has a healthcare business. Americans are known to travel to countries such as Mexico, Thailand to get medical or dental help. I’ve just spent $800 seeing an orthopedist for shoulder impingement when I have health insurance. The doctor spent 4 minutes with me and stood 2 meters away from me without even touching me. This is pure business. My symptoms are still present. Anyways, it is foolish to insist on staying in other countries when your native country has a healthcare system.

Although I think it best to consider many possible explanations for your illness, William, from the chlorine levels to a parasite or dengue fever or the water quality, I do think you are probably on the right track about mould. My personal anecdotal experiences with mould is living in a basement apartment, noticing that my daughter often began coughing as she went to sleep, but I found she would always stop coughing immediately when I'd open the window beside her bed. It turned out that, because our basement suite was at least two feet below grade of all the surrounding yard, moisture was wicking up through the cement floor, causing the underlay and carpet to be wet and mouldy. We tore out the landlord's carpet, got area rugs, and the problem was solved. Another experience I have is that as a roofer, we were working next door to a man who complained that he had poorly functioning gutters. He wanted us to repair them. And he wondered if we did vinyl siding, because he thought there was black mould growing on his basement walls. His wife was always sick, he said. (She was in the home all day. He was usually out at work as a landscaper.) She got sicker and died that summer. Contrary to intuition, mould symptoms are not simply respiratory. I think that all of your symptoms can be explained by mould. You might like to watch this 16-minute Doctor on a UA-cam video. He explains all the many symptoms associated with mould.
ua-cam.com/video/fOYMzYpC36E/v-deo.html This is really harsh, and I concur with everyone else who advises you to go home to get well. Home is where the spirit and mind can find rest and recovery and both spirit and mind are intricately connected with physical health. Mind and body are NOT separate. By the way, what makes you think all of we loyal fans would not be just as happy to watch you at home in Sweden as gallivanting around the globe. I had a friend who went to Cancun, Mexico. He visited the cenotes and contracted a tropical disease that sounded so similar to your symptoms. Pathogens which inhabit cenotes can exist for 10s of thousands of years. Your analysis concerning chlorine in water and mould in ACs could be correlated with your illness but I would not discount your recent visits to the deep holes in the ground, especially the warm one before you got sick. This is just my opinion as I have no medical background but if it helps you in anyway to get to the bottom of this then I would be very happy. Keep up the great Vlogs.

At the very least- they should test you for Tuberculosis- a PCR blood test and a chest X-ray. It is treatable and curable if caught early. Legionnaires and black mold are also prevalent in A/C systems.
