    i feel like every time i get turrets early in lane, they end up shooting them down in 3 shots and it was useless. they have like no range or health early game. And despite all this I usually take it first anyways because i'm an idiot and never thought of the wall to deny farm

    Nice video, would like to add that you can use wall rank1 to boost your dmg by 25% on both enemy structures and jungle monsters like the 3 big ones before you barrage.
    Also, my personal opinion which noones seems to agree, i think echoshard is bad because for the same price you could buy, for example, Mystic Slow + Hell bane or simple Escalating Exposure which in a teamfight both bring more utility since one applies aoe debuff (55% slow from turrets or 65%slow from ult, 40% fire rate slow and 40% healing reduction) and the other makes your ult and turret dmg ramp up significantly which imo is more impactful in a teamfight than an additional turret that does low dmg. Also Escalating Exposure works on both enemy structures and jungle so even on mid boss.
    PS: more dmg means more healing, meaning you tank for your turrets and not the other way around so that your turrets heal you up while they try to kill you.

      Agreed on escalating exposure being nuts for damage, for sure. I think it really depends on the game. The problem with escalating is it doesn’t give any inherent utility/survivability; it’s definitely a worthwhile consideration though. I really like an early mystic slow/heal bane, that’s 100% in certain games

    I put my turrets in the veiled area during laning, they'll shoot trough

    1:41 It should be noted here that looking straight up with your ult with allow you to barrage directly on top of yourself.

      Good point! This is a very useful tech that can save you in certain situations. The one exception being you can't actually start your barrage this way because of "no target" error. Thanks for mentioning that.

      They actually patched this out today so you can't ult on top of yourself by channeling directly overhead anymore

    I disagree about unlocking heal 3rd. Getting turrets too early against good lane opponents will end up "feeding" them. I hold on to my ability points until I unlock turrets 3rd and immediately evolve them to t2, makes it easier to place them safely and more dangerous for the enemy to focus them

      that’s a solid way to play it as well. I’ve taken heal second against harder lanes, it is great for early sustain. the play-style remains fairly similar though. I should’ve added a section mentioning this option. About feeding the opponent, it does grant enemy souls so this is noteworthy but if you place the turrets as mentioned, they won’t be killing them for free ever and you can deny it if they do succeed

    Fortitude is an amaxing item for mcginnis. Would take boots too. You need the move speed to power farm. kinetic dash helps a lot with with the low stam. Would replace hollow point with monster rounds

      @@morioh6623 Agreed on fortitude, I build that pretty often if the enemy team is focusing my turrets. Kinetic Dash is another solid consideration for mobility. Hollow point and monster rounds were both included in this build, not just hollow point. Boots are part of the standard build here as well

      @@bavinngames gotcha, I just saw you liked extra Stam more than boots since you highlighted them.
      If you don't care about weapon slots too much def play with kinetic more. I usually only get monster rounds, kinetic and heroic. If it goes late escalating resilience

      @@morioh6623 I'll def give Kinetic a shot more. It kinda reminds of fleet, just a very strong movement weapon item on almost any hero.

    Interesting guide, but I feel hybrid is better. You can actually be primary dps, AND your turrets still are useful (and you still splitpush and farm neutrals very well)

      If you're purely after wins, especially at higher MMR's, hybrid/tanky mcginnis is likely much stronger. Turret build is just a ton of fun :)

    McGinnis is the most brain dead bot character in the game. 9/10 games with her in it is just someone ignoring the entire game and running down lanes, dying, repeat. Once they buff towers McGinnis and all her NPC brain players will quit the game
