Just did my first wild turkey. Did it whole, was not happy with the results. Partly because the when the thighs were 165 the breast was 180. I'll never do that again. Still it was very good. I hear you about the tree, Tucson banned the sale of them about 20 years ago.

Here I thought the makeup was Maybeline. Shows what I know!
Great video - love seeing a bit of the home life (your kiddos are adorable), but completely understand you wanting to have downtime when you are home. I did love the shed video you did with your boys a while back. It's great to see the young kiddos out exploring and getting some fresh air and dad-time. Take care, Ben.

I sliced the breast of my last turkey and made it into fritters. Took the fritters and made a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich. Best camp meal of the trip.

needs bacon w/ that avocado. Looks good! cover your drip pan in the smoker with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Crackin me up bro. Off topic but I think you will love my recipe. Like making home made tartar sauce with pickle or zuchinni relish and mayo, use those pickled jalapenos, diced, and mayo. I put it on pretty much everything. Add a little lemon or lime juice to put on fish tacos. I wanted to bottle it but have no idea where to start so I will just share it.
