the 5:00 minute mark is why i take the gauss charge perks, an extra one second of holding a charge is usually enough for whoever i'm aiming at to feel too brave.
You should give quad hag 30 a try - left arm/right arm firing groups - you can begin charging the second volley while the first HAG group is still firing. Its fun :)
Nice! I went with 4 HAG30s on mine. I don't like mixing ammo. I see my friend lose guns and the wrong ammo all the time. So he'll have some perfectly functional, but dry, guns and a ton of ammo for guns that don't work. I was running 2 AC20s and 3 AC10s on that boy for a while before HAGs dropped. That was good, but ran out of ammo too soon so I'd end up just being a decoy. :D
I run two HAG 30s and two 20s on mine, and it is so good. Regularly does 900+ damage. Thanks for the builds and games Bara! Good to see you on MWO again!
When you have such a low base speed that 6kph can be the difference between life or death with a rotation and he wasn't node starved at all on the build.
You are right the speed is useless when you spend most of your time standing still also its more like 3kph not six the only assaults you would ever want to put speed tweak on imo is brawlers and mechs with masc because they get the most out of it a mech like the anni is just way too slow and spends too much time not moving.
@@JH-ue2oq Three kph will not save you in a nascar the majority of the time, it is wasted points way better spent on something like hard brake or anchor turning imo which will save you plenty of armour by making your peaks more efficient or heatgen for cooling since hag 30s can get quite hot especially since they are getting a heat nerf next patch.

@@T0tenkampf Autocannons and Rotary autocannons, not gauss. Gauss on an Annihilator is just kind of weird because of how out-of-place it is with the Annihilator. I originally said full dakka but changed it to ballistics. Because everyone knows gauss is actually a hypersonic weapon, not ballistics.
@@docthorr Yeah, it was MWO that got gauss rifles classified as ballistics. Because that used to be a topic of debate, even within the BattleTech Universe, because ballistics implies gunpower driven and gauss weapons are electrically driven. So the reasoning was that gauss should be considered kinetic weapons instead. In real life they're considered hypersonic kinetic impact weapons. It's a little muddy in BattleTech because PPCs should technically also be considered ballistics weapons but the logic that they require a lot of energy to fire also kind of implies that rail guns like gauss guns would also mean PPC and Gauss should be some ballistic energy hybrid weapon. It's just a classification issue and not a huge deal, but the logic behind the classifications is muddy at times. Also, I've heard of the Gausszilla. I seriously hope that Microsoft is up for making an MWO 2 MMO. MWO is good, but PGI made some mistakes in updates that drove away much of the player base and a lot of people I know don't want to return to MWO. Microsoft and PGI can even show that they're not making a second MMO to be money grubbing by charging only like $20 for MWO players to transfer over like 20 'mechs to a hypothetical MWO 2 for every $20 spent. That would be a steady revenue source and if Microsoft and PGI could also make all of the custom hardware that was made for MWO forward-compatible with a hypothetical MWO 2, I think a lot of people would be on board with such a MechWarrior MMO. I think a fresh MWO MMO would attract at least some young and new people. BattleTech will always be niche, as tabletop tends to be, but MechWarrior 2 and MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries have proven that MechWarrior can and does have mass appeal.
@@MisterNi That first paragraph is... incredibly misinformed. The word "ballistic" has nothing to do with gunpowder, it comes from the word ballista, and it literally just refers to any weapon whose damage is derived solely from a physical projectile (versus a laser, EM weapon, or the explosive warhead of a missile). The sentence about rail guns and gauss guns (which are not remotely the same thing by the way, there is not a single "rail" in any gauss weapon ever created) being energy/ballistic hybrids seems to indicate that you think the power source of a weapon is what determines its classification in BattleTech, which is also false. Weapon classifications are based on the damage they deal; a gauss gun is a ballistic weapon because it deals purely kinetic damage to an enemy, in the same way lasers are energy weapons because they deal purely heat damage to an enemy. I've never looked into the lore of PPCs in this game, but assuming they use the same logic as other "particle" weapons in science fiction, they are in the right category as energy weapons, because the particles they fire are too small to kinetically damage anything, they instead impart heat into a target due to their rapid movement.
If you're just starting out, it's gonna be rough. With an mp game this old, the people left playing have had enough time to perfect their craft. So, I can totally understand where you're coming from.
I wanna see that Rhino build!
like a scorch but 12 more SRM tubes...whats not to like?
Here is the build i was using on my koloss

It's a bigger scorch. Really fun, Stone Rhinos are still a little squishy but it rips.

Man, that first match... going from 5-1 to losing was rough.
7:03 Good save Bara ... very good save!!! Way to think before you finish that statement!!! 🤣😂🤣😂
Guass Zilla, cuz that guy WAY over there, on the other side of the map, looked at your lancemate funny 😂

Well fought! Those were some good matches even with the losses.
Great games! And really illustrates the challenge with where some weapons are mounted.
glad to see these are back. also this looks like a fun build. i was never a huge fan of gauss though. so many changes in MWO i don't recognize so much
Fuuuck this reminded me of the quad clan LBX20 annihilator I sported in mw4 mercs mekpak.... Good times ❤
Wow. Two crazy matches! That was awesome! 😎🤘☮️
Meebels! Lasers and phasers! One does not simply fire a Gauss rifle without the right amount of heat sinks.

You don't see Baradul out of position that often, but it seemed like it happened constantly with the Anni today.
Hagzilla for the win!
It's so weird seeing Anni gameplay with the cyan Clan UI and Clan weapons.
Got so used to associating the amber IS UI with the Anni cockpit frame.
....wait was the last guy in the first game Tex from the BPL? Because I know no one else who goes by "Scrombles".
It could be someone who was a fan of the BPL.
Not Tex... His Call Sign isn't "Scrombles" in MWO.
Tex doesn't play MWO anymore. Mostly he plays MWLL, sometimes MW5, or any of the various Battletech/Roguetech mods.
I was using my snow blower and I realized that it looks a lot like an Annihilator from the back.
So much indecision.
Today in Cooking with Baradul!
Oh, hey, I'm in this one.
for some reason i cant get your build to fit properly
holy shit baradul MWO!?!
Nice more MWO!
I get your idea to be faster but that seems like a lot of nodes to spend on what...6kph?

👍👍
2x gauss 2x erppc.. wreckage is unreal
There's a Clan Annihilator now????? welp, time to fire up MWO again.
Ani being amazing or a sitting duck just comes down to the map & positioning... it's a walking (not running) turret...
MWO is a perfect game. GODZILLA FTW
What with all that.. "rotating?

its quirked for gauss, which is a ballistic, tho

Nice to see u again. But as u can maybe see there r nearly no players anymore. Ig it wasn't a bad idea of u to concentrate on battle tech...
There’s still a pretty decent player base for a 10 year old game Ngl
I saw a lot of new names playing tonight.
The game is super unbalanced NOT worth playing DO NOT BUY MECHS
