Sometimes American shorebirds end up in Europe but I guess rarely. Great to see familiar birds. I live in Florida but started birding in Europe so I'm familiar with birds of both continents.
Yes all of them are rare. Some rarer than others. Species that have been seen in Europe but that we have no records of in the Netherlands are Least Sandpiper, Hudsonian Whimbrel, Hudsonian Godwit, Willet (both races), Wilsons Snipe, Semipalmated Plover, American Woodcock (1 record in Europe of a bird shot in France) and Short-billed Dowitcher.
@@TheDutchBirder Most of these shorebirds are common here in Florida. It's like some common European birds end up here. Black-headed Gull is very rare here but one showed up in Florida last month. I was chasing it successfully. 👍
