I had the same feeling that you had about your shining noctowl. When I was around 9 I opened 2 packs of legend maker, and each one had a gold star in it, and I thought they were just an alternate holo cause I pulled that many. I ended up trading one before the 2013-2014 gold star boom. Though still kept the regirock, waiting on getting it graded.

You make me want to collect pokemon and get them graded i have not yet got a card graded yet but you inspire me im also started to collect sealed products as well i love YOUR VIDEOS also if i send you some cards can you get them graded for me i know you said that sometimes its best to do a 3rd party grading on cards ? I opened one of my Neo Destiny 1st edition box and, I promise I’m not lying. I pulled a shining charizard, shining noctowl and shining raichu. They all had the texture misalignment and just got them back from grading today. 3 PSA 10’s 😁
Would you think it is worth it to get English ones graded if they might get a 7 or lower? I have a 1st edition sing noctowl and then a shining Magikarp.
Is there a "bubble" in this pocket of the collectible TCG; as in, would you say prices are inflated right now for Shining cards [as well as Gold Stars]? How do you foresee the market value of these to change over the next year?

Why did you sell the Illustrator. I've heard you say other cards you have aren't for sale despite huge offers. Wasn't it one of the best parts of your collection and wouldn't something that rare only go up in value?
great video :) ive seen a graded english Shining Magikarp for sale but only has a one star rarity. whats the deal with that ? is that an english thing ? keep the videos up they are great
i don't think he is a opener, except for maybe newer sets or maybe for very rare occasions the older ones. but you'll never see him open a pack on that channel. he is a collector
I thought I bought a fake magickarp it’s literally mint no issues at all paid 200 raw Japanese but has no texture lots of halo bleed and I got a shadowless mint venusaur for 200 paid 400 for both I believe they are strong 9.5 -10 the venus is English
I have a BGS 9 listed on ebay and currently $700 is the highest offer. They are very scarce right now, and a lot of people are looking for a psa 8-10 example.

I would say currently, no. But having both of those cards in ungraded ex-nm condition is still valuable.

Glad you like the video! Yes, you can open an entire box and not pull a single shining card. The pull rate is estimated at 1 in 108 or 1 in 72 packs.

The copy I sold was not my personal copy. I still have my personal Illustrator card.
