I was at this show! I remembered some of Johnny's banter between songs, including the part about the crowd not liking one of the songs from the new record. Straight Faced played what felt like every hardcore show at the Hollywood clubs leading up to signing with Epitaph and releasing Conditioned. Saw so many great lineups in this era
1. conditioned 2. potential genius 3. insecure 4. let down 5. no gain on the play 6. revolve 7. against 8. convictions 9. negative 10. lets do this 11. change 12. pedestal 13. greed motivates
A band that had a "fuckin 'eh it did" influence on us all. "BROKEN" was there for me when many things were not. It's a driven, combustible form of Hardcore that fit.
positively amazing. i have no fucking clue how this has 100 views. one of my favorite bands from the mid 90s into today. what a show! wish i was there!
Singer was saved by Jesus praise the lord. You should ask for his forgiveness too. www.compasshb.com/blog/the-resurrection-of-johnny-miller-film (go to 06:09) (Obvious sarcasm is obvious)
@@RiotLignarius Probably not what you intended but that link was very inspiring. Definitely a loss for the scene when he quit, but with the context of that video I can understand why.

Love this band. One of the best hardcore bands of all-time. It's so sad that they are no longer around.

The guest vocal is 11/10singer. Wow
That "guest vocal" was a high schooler at the time and now sings in the Eulogy with the SF bass player.

So any updates on these guys now?
Prefer by far the Live raw sound of conditionned (album) songs here …..the album recording was a bit overdone i think
