The heart rite is a detail that I really enjoyed, in Egyptian myths. One's heart would be measured aganist a feather, if the heart is heavier, the soul gets casted into darkness, if lighter, it successfully passes on to the after life. Cyno balanced the scale by shedding their blood, and his in a challenge, he won and became the next human vessel of anubis.
@fish yeah u're right but as far as I know, blood was considered something imperative for life in ancient Egypt. It wasn't that sinful. It was more like an essence of life and boldness.

He balanced the weight of the blood of the dead ones by offering his own blood so knowing that he wanted to equilibrate things Anubis a god who hold balance at a huge place gave his approval.
Another thing I just now noticed is that the Anubis was a skeleton, there was no blood to spill from him/it, so in the end the only option Cyno had was to either do what he did, or perish.

Dehya = Sekhmet Geo Croc Guy = Sobek Candace = Thoth Wiged one = Isis I just don't know which god does the Snake like Pharaoh stand for, although the Pharaoh himslef can be considered a deity.
It litteraly is in the lore they are suppose to represent the sages of Deshret (the Ibis King, the crocodile King, the got King etc...) So op made then their avatar or apprentice.
Using blood to weigh down the feather’s side is absolutely genius, especially when he had to use his own blood to tip the scale. If your heart is heavier than the feather, just make the feather heavier! How smart!

I love how this whole sequence is the Helm testing his resolve. If he failed then he wasn't worthy of the power it processed, but if he prevailed then he was given power left over from a Dead god. He had to prove himself he wasn't just given power he had to earn it. Makes me respect him a lot more.

Disagree,there is no "story" here,it just combat. Mihoyo lore is still far better than this "story" the character don't surpass mhy just because they are limited by games. Idk what make you think is a good "story vision" it just make no sense,so making fight scene = good story vision? Or adding unrealistic and impossible fight for some puny human is good ? This game ain't god of war. And without mhy information about cyno,no fan would ever able to make this,for example: cyno lore is he has god spirit inside (basically priest reincarnation) so the animator took it and made a story out of it,just unrealistic part is him versus the gods without any spirit power.
Another thing is that it is 3d vs 2d animation. 2d is not limited by anything, hoyo can pull out better animation if they wanted to,just look at honkai 2d story animation,just hire animator and do the job. Also, isn’t most of Genshin unrealistic? Take Kazuha, a skilled swordsman but being able to deflect Raiden Ei’s attack on the Traveler? Unlikely. TL;DR Don’t be negative towards fans. Sure, MiHoYo can do better. But appreciate the time and effort others have put in to a game that they like. Don’t be negative to praises others give.
the weapon transformation is just breath taking, not many character actually have that kind of weapon, and actually seing it for the first time is just...awesome

im obsessed with the amount of details in this short that are straight out of egyptian mythology. Anubis even has ma'at's feather and a human heart on his scales. And deyha as sekhmet fits so perfectly with her fire powers. very, very well done!

For those wondering, here were the gods Cyno fought (in order): (0:34) [Unnamed] as Ra: The God of the Sun, Life, and Creation. (0:48) Candace as Toth: The God of the Moon, Wisdom, and Writing. (1:04) [Unnamed] as (what I can only assume to be) Serket: The God of Healing and Poison (associated especially with scorpions and their stings/venom, Serket’s name can be interpreted as both ‘[she who] tightens the throat’ as well as ‘[she who] causes the throat to breathe’) (1:15) [Unnamed] as (what I can only assume to be) Osiris: The God of the Underworld. (1:26) Dehya as Sekhmet: The Goddess of War and Healing. (1:40) [Unnamed] as (what I can only assume to be) Set: God of Disorder, Violence, and Storms. (Sobek is also a potential candidate for this one) And finally, (1:59) Anubis: The God of Judgement and Punishment. A lot of these are just my speculation, so please correct if you believe I’m in the wrong ^^
ra and king deshret parallels are interseting. also dehya seems more like sekhmet, a warrior goddess with a lion head, daughter of Ra, and the "vengeful manifestation of Ra's power, the Eye of Ra. was said to breathe fire, and the hot winds of the desert were likened to her breath." wikipedia
i believe dehya is Sekhmet and not Bastet the unnamed before dehya is most likely Neith oh yeah it may be either set or sobek based off of the creation made

As the other coments sais I believe Dehya is supposed to be the lioness headed goddess Sekhmet (idk...the lioness goddess fits a bit more than the cat goddess, but honestly could be both lol) and the last guy I actually tought it was Sobek purelly by it being a crocodile but Seth fits too!

from what i can tell, the one yo have as Ra is more Osiris due to a lack of a bird head like Ra's and instead having a human head like Osiris, the one you have as Osiris would then, and this is just a guess in all honesty, be maybe Isis due to the wings, and the Set guy is definitely Sobek due to the crocodile/alligator imagery.
How it helps? It's not canon. As a Wanderer main if I had to watch similar video about Wanderer then I will have fun but I will not think that he is wanderer because it's not canon.

I have been waiting for this since the trailer, and it did not disappoint. Cyno is my favorite. He likely always will be, and until there is more in the game, this is exactly how his trial went to claim the spirit he possesses. Thank you for doing such wonderful work and doing him justice!
This has literally been a dream come true. What got me to main Cyno was his Anubis theme as I have always loved the concept of Anubis. I've even written fanfiction of Cyno and Anubis battling each other because I loved the idea so much. To see it visioned in front of my eyes, it's as if i've been blessed by Celestia.

I absolutely loved the scythe fight scene. Scythe are absoultely epic and badass but we rarely see them in fantasy settings. Honkai Impact 3rd is one of the few games with Scythe users, if they could bring them to Genshin...
raiden can be considered as a "scythe" user, but it is a "war scythe" (the blade is upward/called naginata in japan) and not the classic reaping scythe :)! edit: toning with a smiley emoji since i don't wanna sound like 🤓, i already called it a naginata before editing

Wow just wow. Really clever fight scenes, cool character designs...love the bit of sound design right at the beginning where a heartbeat begins after the shot of a heart on the scales. The overall concept of Cyno finally proving his heart balances the feather of ma'at by contributing his own blood so well done!

This feels like an alternate timeline where the twins didn’t come to teyvat, Scaramouche became a god, Fatui succeeding in the Inazuman civil war and destroying Liyue and now the Desert people and the city people are seperated due to Xenophobia leading to the desert castes to form this weird tribunal to restore Deshret’s legacy.
It feels like Cyno went through a trial to receive a remnant of power, but it also feels like he is the descendant and dude's dad just watched him get his weapon through a trial.
man i still rewatch this every once in awhile. such creative interpretations of the playable characters and the lore of sumeru not to mention the incredible animation! also, as a rwby fan, cyno's weapon transforming between a scythe, a gun, a spear, and a sword is s u c h a cool idea
I came back to this video following his second story quest release and I still choose to believe this is how he inherited his power heheh it looks freaking amazing!
2:23 this is very discrret and brief but does Cyno have tears in his eye? gosh i'm in love with this animation and the numerous details i can find, i rewatched it like 4 times and every time i come back i find even more This is wonderful i'm having a great time watching and analising each frame! the concept in it self is very interesting and original, i don't think i've ever seen someone interpret Cyno's childhood and how he came to obtain his divine abilities! Plus the fact that we can see people that we met actively fight Cyno yet mysteriously disaapearing once they've been slightly hurt (or full on stabbed) leave a feeling of wonder on what is going on in the video! the art style and color pallet are amazing too, i think it truly fits the scenery and action of the animation, you guys did a wonderful job truly i don't think i'll get this animation out of my mind for a while!! wishing you all the best in life!!!

That was breathtaking. I love how you interpreted each character and Cyno’s backstory. Him using the shed blood to tip the scale into his favor is absolutely something he would do, as calculating as he is in-lore.
This was so amazing!!! I wish even more now that we get more of Cyno's backstory, his life as a child and how he got the powers of the ancient god. His life was probably pretty sad as we learned in 3.5 he's probably an orphan, and a lot of people saw his as a test subject, only a few treated him as a person. I'm sure we'll find out how he got his powers someday, though! I'm also really curious as to how strong he really is. I mean, having the powers of an ancient god is certainly impressive, but we don't know how strong that God was. But I'm sure he's much stronger than the average vision wielder
well, in his demo we can see him doing a big explosion like only the traveler, Scaramouche and some other strong characters did. He's definetly one of the strongest human in the game alongside with Shenhe, he even says it himself I think? Well I'm not sure if he actually says it, but he does say he's stronger than Al Aitham. I'm also very excited for his backstory, sadly it will probably be in a time limited event ☠️
@@cyliiindre Oh he's definitely one of the strongest humans in the game. He quite literally has a god mode. He went up and seemed to not strain while fighting with Scaramouche and that's just with his vision, imagine if he went god mode. He's also probably the most feared person in Sumeru, so that should say a lot about how powerful he is. Also in his story quest, he captured what was it, 300 people in 2 days? Some absolutely insane number like that. When I heard him say he was going to do that, I was like, "Wait, is that for real?" and he actually delivered without getting hurt, like dayum. Not that I would consider it in the first place but I would DEFINITELY never commit a crime at the Akademiya with him as General. Also you're probably right, we'll only get it in a limited time event probably. UNLESS, they give Sumeru another area that's underground like Enkanomiya or The Chasm and it'll be all ancient ruins of King Deshret's civilization under the sand and we learn more about Cyno's god and probably what happened to him too. They had a world quest with Yelan, Itto, Yanfei and Kuki in it, I think it's plausible that it could happen again. That's what I'm hoping they'll do, at least, best case scenario. If that did happen I would like to learn more about Candace too, what her different colored eyes actually do, like some people say that she can tell the future with her amber one, or that she can control the sands, but we don't know if that's actually true. It's also said that she's descended from Deshret but I don't know if that's true for sure. Either way since her and Deshret come up together so often I feel like we would learn more stuff about Deshret with her in it
@@mittenvonscrufflears7233 yeah an underground map is definetly the best option for learning about Cyno and Candace's lore, they're both really mysterious so we'll probably wait a while tho. Hoyoverse is really good at gatekeeping things, but it's usually for the best. Like Scaramouche hasn't been playable for really long, but in counterpart when he finally came out as a playable character we got a lot of stuff about his story and even development where he tried to delete himself then accepted his "past life" and the bad things he has done. So yeah, I'm really excited about Cyno and Candace, hopefully it will be in a special area.

I can’t stop watching this. The attention to detail is outstanding. The fight choreography to the best song in Genshin, and epic portrayals of Sumeru, Egypt, and Cyno’s history makes this something I have to watch every day. I’m gonna watch it in slow mo for all the little details. So much fast paced action and split second scenes!

I love how that last action of Cyno's both tips the scales, so to speak, and shows that Death is inevitable and unkillable.

But you have made no acknowledgment to the skill of fan animators, and the hours they have put in. I do know that this is all fan-made. But this is entertainment, media that people consume. Also, isn’t most of Genshin unrealistic? Take Kazuha, a skilled swordsman but being able to deflect Raiden Ei’s attack on the Traveler? Unlikely.
TL;DR Don’t be negative towards fans. Sure, MiHoYo can do better. But appreciate the time and effort others have put in to a game that they like. Don’t be negative to praises others give.

im obsessed with the amount of details in this short that are straight out of egyptian mythology. Anubis even has ma'at's feather and a human heart on his scales. And deyha as sekhmet fits so perfectly with her fire powers. very, very well done!

ra and king deshret parallels are interseting. also dehya seems more like sekhmet, a warrior goddess with a lion head, daughter of Ra, and the "vengeful manifestation of Ra's power, the Eye of Ra. was said to breathe fire, and the hot winds of the desert were likened to her breath." wikipedia
i believe dehya is Sekhmet and not Bastet the unnamed before dehya is most likely Neith oh yeah it may be either set or sobek based off of the creation made

As the other coments sais I believe Dehya is supposed to be the lioness headed goddess Sekhmet (idk...the lioness goddess fits a bit more than the cat goddess, but honestly could be both lol) and the last guy I actually tought it was Sobek purelly by it being a crocodile but Seth fits too!

from what i can tell, the one yo have as Ra is more Osiris due to a lack of a bird head like Ra's and instead having a human head like Osiris, the one you have as Osiris would then, and this is just a guess in all honesty, be maybe Isis due to the wings, and the Set guy is definitely Sobek due to the crocodile/alligator imagery.

I have been waiting for this since the trailer, and it did not disappoint. Cyno is my favorite. He likely always will be, and until there is more in the game, this is exactly how his trial went to claim the spirit he possesses. Thank you for doing such wonderful work and doing him justice!
This has literally been a dream come true. What got me to main Cyno was his Anubis theme as I have always loved the concept of Anubis. I've even written fanfiction of Cyno and Anubis battling each other because I loved the idea so much. To see it visioned in front of my eyes, it's as if i've been blessed by Celestia.

I absolutely loved the scythe fight scene. Scythe are absoultely epic and badass but we rarely see them in fantasy settings. Honkai Impact 3rd is one of the few games with Scythe users, if they could bring them to Genshin...
raiden can be considered as a "scythe" user, but it is a "war scythe" (the blade is upward/called naginata in japan) and not the classic reaping scythe :)!

Wow just wow. Really clever fight scenes, cool character designs...love the bit of sound design right at the beginning where a heartbeat begins after the shot of a heart on the scales. The overall concept of Cyno finally proving his heart balances the feather of ma'at by contributing his own blood so well done!

This feels like an alternate timeline where the twins didn’t come to teyvat, Scaramouche became a god, Fatui succeeding in the Inazuman civil war and destroying Liyue and now the Desert people and the city people are seperated due to Xenophobia leading to the desert castes to form this weird tribunal to restore Deshret’s legacy.
I love how Cyno's weapon can be so many things. A sword, a spear, a crossbow, a scythe, a handaxe even, etc etc.. It's amazing.

This is wonderful i'm having a great time watching and analising each frame! the concept in it self is very interesting and original, i don't think i've ever seen someone interpret Cyno's childhood and how he came to obtain his divine abilities! Plus the fact that we can see people that we met actively fight Cyno yet mysteriously disaapearing once they've been slightly hurt (or full on stabbed) leave a feeling of wonder on what is going on in the video!
the art style and color pallet are amazing too, i think it truly fits the scenery and action of the animation, you guys did a wonderful job truly i don't think i'll get this animation out of my mind for a while!!

This was so amazing!!! I wish even more now that we get more of Cyno's backstory, his life as a child and how he got the powers of the ancient god. His life was probably pretty sad as we learned in 3.5 he's probably an orphan, and a lot of people saw his as a test subject, only a few treated him as a person. I'm sure we'll find out how he got his powers someday, though! I'm also really curious as to how strong he really is. I mean, having the powers of an ancient god is certainly impressive, but we don't know how strong that God was. But I'm sure he's much stronger than the average vision wielder
well, in his demo we can see him doing a big explosion like only the traveler, Scaramouche and some other strong characters did. He's definetly one of the strongest human in the game alongside with Shenhe, he even says it himself I think? Well I'm not sure if he actually says it, but he does say he's stronger than Al Aitham.
I'm also very excited for his backstory, sadly it will probably be in a time limited event ☠️
@@cyliiindre Oh he's definitely one of the strongest humans in the game. He quite literally has a god mode. He went up and seemed to not strain while fighting with Scaramouche and that's just with his vision, imagine if he went god mode. He's also probably the most feared person in Sumeru, so that should say a lot about how powerful he is. Also in his story quest, he captured what was it, 300 people in 2 days? Some absolutely insane number like that. When I heard him say he was going to do that, I was like, "Wait, is that for real?" and he actually delivered without getting hurt, like dayum. Not that I would consider it in the first place but I would DEFINITELY never commit a crime at the Akademiya with him as General. Also you're probably right, we'll only get it in a limited time event probably. UNLESS, they give Sumeru another area that's underground like Enkanomiya or The Chasm and it'll be all ancient ruins of King Deshret's civilization under the sand and we learn more about Cyno's god and probably what happened to him too. They had a world quest with Yelan, Itto, Yanfei and Kuki in it, I think it's plausible that it could happen again. That's what I'm hoping they'll do, at least, best case scenario. If that did happen I would like to learn more about Candace too, what her different colored eyes actually do, like some people say that she can tell the future with her amber one, or that she can control the sands, but we don't know if that's actually true. It's also said that she's descended from Deshret but I don't know if that's true for sure. Either way since her and Deshret come up together so often I feel like we would learn more stuff about Deshret with her in it
@@mittenvonscrufflears7233 yeah an underground map is definetly the best option for learning about Cyno and Candace's lore, they're both really mysterious so we'll probably wait a while tho. Hoyoverse is really good at gatekeeping things, but it's usually for the best. Like Scaramouche hasn't been playable for really long, but in counterpart when he finally came out as a playable character we got a lot of stuff about his story and even development where he tried to delete himself then accepted his "past life" and the bad things he has done. So yeah, I'm really excited about Cyno and Candace, hopefully it will be in a special area.
