The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) of Chennai had organized the seventh edition of its cultural festival 'Vibrance'23'. The festival celebrated over three days marked by a rich showcase of talent in sports and music from March 2 to 5.
The first day of the festival started with a mini marathon along the 10km stretch from Vandalur to Kelambakkam, in a joint effort by the physical education department and health club, and Rotaract club of VIT Chennai, to spread awareness against drug abuse. Seven-hundred men and 600 women participated in the marathon.
Sekar Viswanathan, vice-president, VIT University, floated colourful balloons and distributed prizes, certificates and medals to the winners. The inaugural ceremony saw Shivam Dube, prominent member of the Indian cricket team and the IPL team 'Chennai Super Kings', felicitating the winners of the sports events that were held at the University from February 15 to March 2.
As a part of Vibrance'23's pro-shows, Bollywood singers Shirley Setia and Benny Dayal given power-packed performances. With numerous club events, stage performances, food stalls and exhibits, Vibrance'23 promises to be a melting pot of young talent and energy.
