I came up with 80 percent in my own head just based on something I learned in sales called the 80 20 rule. 80 percent of sales are not real profitable and it's the 20 percent of high profit items that carries the rest of the bullshit. So 20 percent of reality is so good that we don't notice the rest is just fake bullshit. Also I'm betting self driving cars is just outsourced to indians as well.

I have never considered that the worlds fair was any kind of fraud.... but now that it has been brought up, I would really like to know.... I mean not enough to look into it myself, but I would definitely put a video on while I am working, to pay for the stuff that I bought years ago, plus pay taxes on the stuff that I "own" continuously. Even though we overthrew a government that was trying to tax us a whopping 3%, those bastards, so a while later we could pay 50ish percent.

I've been a computer nerd for my whole 50+ year old life and every 10 years companies shout "virtual reality is here" and then increasingly add "oh for real this time" and "definitely!" and it still flops no matter how far the technology has come along. I'm just realizing how much this parallels the promises of space exploration, with almost none of it actually being realized.

There is bad science, there are disproven theories of science, and there is science which is proven by repeated reults through experimentation.
If you're talking theoretical physics. Then yes, there are many wrong roads as it is "theoretical" which can imply mathematically sound equations, but no way to proove them (yet) or it can lead to explirations of ideas which cannot be reconciled through complex equations.
E=MC² is an example that most people can relate to. When Einstein was working on the idea he wasn't thinking "Hey I'll create nuclear power", he was trying to understand what matter and atoms were. So he delved into the conceptual process, which involved hypithesis and equations, and a great deal of effort to then arrive at the equation of E=MC². Mathematically the equation worked.
Then came application: How can the power of the atom be utilised? Hence the atomic bomb, the nuetron bomb, and nuclear energy.
From the theory and the mathematical proof, a physical output was arrived at.
Now consider String Theory. Buckets upin buckets of money thrown into it, many of the best scientists for decades on the problem, and still nothing.
Science is at a dead end on things such as a unified theory of everything or reconciling relativity, special relativity, and gravity into a more unified theory.
Much of science is bluster, most of it goes nowhere, but occasionally a new theory takes hold and can be proven in it's results. And most of it is then used to enslave and entrap everyone or to kill off people in droves more than it is for anything altruistic and humanitarian.
There is Dark science, Bad Science, Good Science, and the evidence of science in a physical application.
What is proven, is evident. What isn't proven is either false, not yet understood, or an entire hussle for money and status.

There seems to be some technological breakthrough psyops going on right now as well. Weird times. Absolutely nothing is what it seems to be.
For starters, it can be logically deduced that if general quantum computing is possible, it can break many clasically secure encryption schemes. And if it was possible with enough research i.e, money, the shadow government has had it for a long time. The goal has been for decades, recording every keystroke. All they want the "AI" for is surveillance, they realized early on in the 90s that they could tap all the phones in the world easily (not a hard technical problem), they need the A.I. to do the listening, screening and snitching on all our communications.
Also, I guarantee you that there have been A.I. going rogue on the internet causing human problems a LOT longer than people realize. There's something very very wrong with the internet nowadays it does not bear any resemblance to even 10 years ago.

I work in a big tech research lab, and in previous jobs I worked with actual industrial robots and A.I. I was recently in an online debate with some people who were making absurd claims about the capabilities of AI and Robots, VASTLY overestimating what they are capable of, and where they will be in the near future, if ever. No amount of explaining using my experience or logic to these laypeople could change their mind. I am starting to think that these ill-formed opinions they have are coming from somewhere and they're a useful agenda for SOMEONE because they didn't seem like organic opinions...they were SO wrong and SO dumb.
Total surveillance is in part data mining to build a more believable AI. All those educational programs are data mining the kids.

It's probably because anytime I do go to a FOX, CNN, or whatever other billionaire funded news show I get in recommendations, I only open it to give it a quick thumbs down and I close it. Think of how many of our fellow humans don't believe anything that isn't BROAD'CAST' on their electric toilet!!
There is no present, we live in the past. Our universe was created correct? If so then everything was written before we play or act it out. We are eternally trapped in the past. The present is outside of this system if it was created.
Let's not forget, we were promised jetpacks all the way back in the 60s. By now, everyone and their cat should have a jetpack. Where are they?!
What most people don't realize about our friends in the WEF, is that they are told of different technologies that people are working on, that are in need of investors. Some of these technologies like AI, or the connecting of digital communications and the human brain.
These are the kind of technologies that people like those in the WEF have wet dreams about !
But they are listening to the people that are trying to develop these technologies, or should I say, they are talking to their marketing executives, not the scientists actually trying to make them work ! And if there is one thing us common folk know, is that you can't believe a word that's coming from someone that is trying to pick up investors ! Because they are going to tell you exactly what you want to hear about the product in order to make the sale !
So these extremely wealthy corporate heads, heads of state, and socialites have made all of these 5, 10, and 20 year plans for the world based on tech that hasn't made it out of the design phase, or even worse, are still nothing more than concepts !

I watched a couple of AI developers last year explain what it can and can't do. The most fundamental limitation is that AI can never develop free will. They gave a great an example of how limited AI really is.
I've honestly never used a dishwasher, but if anybody asked me to take the dishes out of one I think I could just about manage it (sarcasm).
In order for an AI robot to undertake this task, it would have to be trained in a million different kitchens, with different kinds of dishwashers, before it could perform this task reliably.
This doesn't sound very intelligent to me.

It doesn't matter if it's real or not. They're getting people to give up their privacy and their rights to this AI so it is a success experiment. If you'd rather give up control of your life to a robot than to other people, then other people will pretend to be robots .
I think a lot of people already are 'robots'. One example, in recent years has shown the number of people willing to give over their thinking ability to the TV or so-called medical 'science'
Well said. The verisimilitude of AI yields the desired result. It's actually a misallocation of resources to even attempt to develop 'real' AI if the control of the population is possible without it.
@@DuncanL7979 apparently the first " Terminators" have shown up on the battlefields of Ukraine. The people still pick the targets, I guess they don't trust the AI to do this yet, but after the target has been chosen they set the drones loose and they come after you by themselves. This way they don't have to worry about losing signal behind hills or forests. I don't know how successful they are but they're using this war for all sorts of experiments.
I work in a corporation that is pushing AI to take over a lot of our work and cause us to become unemployed. They've closed multiple offices saying they are no longer needed only to open new offices outside of the US months later. The actual AI they have been able to rollout needs lots of rework. Side note this same employer is trying to force remaining employees to hub office some of those locations are near or in proposed 15 minute cities.
They did that in 2010, too.

I actually disagree with this one. The real time, prompt based image generation and musical composition are pretty clear indicators that AI is progressing at an astounding rate.

I'm fine with current and rather even older tech. New tech brings nothing of value, just enslaving us more. Imagine 80s and 90s (and older times), you've done your working day and said GTFO to your job till the next day/week. No one messaging you OMG WE NEED TO DO THIS AND THAT ASAP. You had more freedom and higher quality of life. And the only real change after all this tech is come - corporations can squeeze you more efficiently + mental health problems, etc. What a nice future!

All great points and it has me reminded of the Brain Bridge technology that hit mass media this past week. Their demonstration video was animation, but with CGI humans being the patients. They are selling head transplant services, allegedly to be ready in a few years or so. My first thought was, do they have any human trials or experiments to backup their product? Of course they don't. But it became a hot topic on the internet in short time. It's so outrageous and extreme, how could it not? It blew my mind! My fear is that they are hoping to attract volunteers to serve as test subjects. They will need two, so as to swap two heads between both bodies. I wouldn't do it. But I'm quite certain some people are crazy enough out there to volunteer for it. And they will need an intervention.
