    Hi everyone, it was a really terrible experience in the prison. I got arrested and spent 3 weeks under terrible condition figuring out how can they do this. How can they torture a person with no evidence, not even a crime...

I am sorry, but you need to understand what spy means... In the 21st century the value of taking a video on public in Zimbabwe is worth exactly 0. Yes, there are spies, but no one would pay flight tickets, several years of travelling for me to build a cover up story, all the flight tickets in order to get a 30 second normal video from a street in Zimbabwe... Internet is already full of such content... Spies are usually high level people working in politics with connection to secret information... First, I'm sorry to hear about your experience in Zimbabwe.
    In your capacity as a content creator, my advice is to try and find someone local to guide you.
    I have watched numerous UA-cam content creators getting into trouble when filming in some foreign countries. There is an American UA-camr who creates content on loca food who came to Zimbabwe and went around Zim shocasing local and street food and had no issues. But when he went to Egypt to create the same content his filming gear was confiscated at the airport and he only got it back when he was returning back to his country after paying over $300 for storage.
    So every country is different and there are times when it's just not your day.

      @dudy Oh yes. I am Zimbabwean myself. It's quite normal for govt officials to arrest people who say things that make the govt look bad. This is the first time however I have heard a foreign person getting arrested for stating something many people point out. This after a Karen called the police on him. His crime - knocking on the door and asking for directions. A Karen is someone who dislikes black people so they will make false claims to get you arrested. Actually, the USA has the strictest laws, you will be arrested for starring, whistling at a woman, failure to water your lawn, jaywalking, loitering in a neighborhood, littering and so on. Yeah, you mean scramble for Africa... I am not sure how it is thought in the schools.. very often, history is used to create a narrative... Many people in Africa blame this for all the problems of Africa... But what about another view point? The scramble for Africa divided trade interests of the countries, so they dont start wars.. can you imagine how terrible it would be if the countries start fighting? Do you think France would bring people from their home country to find army Britain brought to Africa before? No... they would use locals, costing a loooot of lives... So maybe this scramble actually saved a lot of lives... I am just suggesting that things are never just black and white... The only thing that is known is that colonies were there already... They did not do the scramble and than came...
      Also, do the schools also teach that is was the british, who abolished slavery? just visit the museum of slavery on Zanzibar... The british government paid a looot of money to the sultan to do so... And how about connecting the countries to the global economy? Building railway, roads... I am not saying colonialism was good... but it is just what it was... It was completely different mentality back than. Also at that time, my country did not even exist. Many people did not even speak the local language, my nation was almost wiped out of the history... but than we had an so called "awakening of the nation"
      When we get independence, we were however colonised again... Just as was the scramble for Africa, there was an iron curtain in Europe where west and east divided the continent into 2 halves after the second world war...
      Yes, we could be gringing and crying about the past... Basically my country was crippled and any development was frozen for some 4 decades... Nevertheless in the 1989, we decided to move forward, modernise, join the global economy, create a better ystem and integrate into the world economy. We brought down the boarders, smashed many barriers and fully opened the economy... Yes, some people still cry and gringe about the past... but at least we do it while enjoying vacation on a beach :D (just 30 years ago it was unimaginable for most people to even see the sea....)

      @Sudiya.m 2 місяці тому

      @@dudy first and foremost the British didn’t abolish slave trade in Zanzibar to free Africans but to annex the port of Zanzibar. They even had a sign with mombasa to lease mombasa to the greater part of Kenya in order to transport the goods they stole from Kenya and uganda. This agreement is one of the reasons why Kenya was deemed insecure in 2010 because the coastal people felt underrepresented. Remember the coast had been colonized by Arabs before the British came in and that’s why they opted to work with Arabs. It was a deal. Kenyans paid tribute to sultan not the British. Don’t get it twisted!!!!!! Secondly Africans were directly impacted in the western world war 2. The Germans and British in TZ(this may have been the biggest one and caused mass recruitment you can even Google), Italians and British in Somalia(possibly one of the reason why Somalia remains under war because they were already one unit) Nigeria Zambia and Zimbabwe and many others. Africans were directly recruited to fight for these countries in India and even here in Africa. My two grandparents one of Kenyan afroarab ethnicity was sent to burma and he was awarded land🤦🏾‍♀️ the other grandparent was of Tanzanian origin and he too fought in the war and survived. This is to say we were directly impacted by the western war!!! Thirdly slavery didn’t end because of European mercy. They even partook in the enslavement of west Africans in the USA. To this date the blacks community still complains of micro aggressions. Independence in Africa didn’t come from the mercy of the west. Kenyans died. Castrated, mutiliated, rap-ed. The group was called mau mau and had the biggest concentration camps in the world at that time. This is all free to Google. Africans died to receive their freedom. Fourthly the infrastructure done by the west was to aid them steal resources like the Kenyan railway. The British annexed African plantation and enslaved Kenyans in their own land. Once the crops were harvested the took to Britain (that’s why Kenya is the 3 highest tea and coffee exporter).It took way too long to build the rail cause Kenyans opposed it. Right now it is all ruins. Almost nothing exists from then. The modern roads and rails are all loans from china with Chinese engineers so don’t even try to claim credit. Where is the US with all the crazy rent? If that’s what you call living modern then let me live in the African highlands and enjoys the sand beaches!!! There is nothing to see about the sides of the coin. Y’all should have come to trade and we would have done it peacefully. There were Africans who collaborated with the British like kabaka mutesa but sadly because of the evil nature of Brits they killed those leaders
