I live by El Centro, the dirt track is in Imperial, California part of the fairgrounds CRA sprints raced there many years. My Father and I saw many races and they raced local stock cars and I WON a kart race there on a dirt track inside the track.Great thank you, for posting the video.
I remember it,my Dad took me there,and we stayed in a motel WITH A POOL !! I got to meet drivers,crew,announcers. Went home with a piece of a wrecked car for braggin' rights.

Great old racing video, but unfortunately on a slick track. Allen Heath was banned from driving in the AAA and USAC events for PR reasons. The powers inside those groups thought it would be bad publicity for a one armed driver to win the Indy 500.

Yes that was Bob Hogle of CRA fame.He is still alive and kicking, and will be talking about it when he hears about the video.
