Good luck with your camping!! The Eton light has a USB charger. And the Secure is waterproof....You might also want to check out my Bug-Out bag video cause I have a lot of camping gear in it. Bug-out Bag Escape from NYC Ebola Edition
I watched your updated test -- which also narrowed down to these two devices. As far as "waterproof," that would be a good aspect to test. I have rarely found waterproof items to be truly waterproof -- such as use in a downpour. I strongly recommend keeping the flashlight in a plastic freezer bag with a couple of rubber bands. Charge it up, put it back in the bag and use the rubber bands to create a better grip. Nothing would be worse than finding out the limit of a waterproof claim when the item is needed most.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I think this will be helpful and I think that I would possibly get both. Eton lights on their radios in general are better. Thank you once again!
This was cool, but I'm wanting one of those with internal flywheel that is squeeze cranked. Next time, tell us what 'short range' is. I'm going to like the tests better when they're consistent. Put all the flashlights on a table side by side and point them all at the same wall to let us compare the projection patterns. Thanks.
I like this testing, but there is a model called Ivation Waterproof Camping Flashlight on Amazon and it looks like the Secur model exactly but for cheaper. It would be good to see a direct comparison between these two to see if the cheaper Ivation is really the same run time, solar, crank and brightness. Ivation can be 10 dollars cheaper depending on the sale price.
+Kaibil Balam yes. I have the energizer with the solar panel, plus I also have the one he showed in the video. They're both great flashlights. I don't know what this guy is talking about; there's nothing wrong with the crank on the energizer.
I don't agree with your conclusion on the Energizer. It is a very good, relieable piece of gear. I have no problems with the hand crank, it's very smooth. I just took mine out of my bag after 3 1/2 years, and without cranking it it turned on, with useable light!
My lantern light lasts 4 hours before the light started to get dim and went another 2 hours before the light went out. A good light source for 4 hours.
Thanks a lot!!! And please subscribe! I'm working on part two right now, these videos take days to shoot because of how rigorous I test them....spoiler....I still have not found the perfect light....stay tuned to see the results!!!
you are GETTING my godd*mn like and subscribe. This was thorough, scientific, unbiased....and you did all this on a baduk board? Heck yes. I'm going to watch all of your vids.
Dont forget this light. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wind-Up-Portable-LED-Flashlight-Torch-Lantern-with-USB-Charging-Port-/191590399138?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c9bad7ca2
You do a good job. Plus, you are honest. Will pass your work around.
I'm going camping soon, just found your videos. Badass job man these are awesome

I don't have time to test it, but, The build quality of the secur is extremely high. I recall putting it under water full submersion.
Finally. Someone who is thorough in their testing. Great video thanks!
James Smith I did a Final Showdown as well after this!
+The Hunter Report Can you review the Ivation crank light? It's only $11 on Amazon.
I've moved on from the lights for now...but I doubt it is better than the Secur
The Hunter Report What are you onto now?
Subscribe and find out! This was like a year ago, I've done a good 100 videos since then!!

A review of the usb charging feature is what we miss here!!
Very good comparison!

Well done! Thank you!
I would go with the energizer especially the version which has a solar panel

I agree that it is reliable. But, the secur is more powerful, fit for military or survival usage, and waterproof, and stronger.
+The Hunter Report I'm secur with that decision.
My lantern light lasts 4 hours before the light started to get dim and went another 2 hours before the light went out. A good light source for 4 hours.
What lantern is it?
Nice Goban btw.
Thanks! Its a cheap folding model. I'm about 1d. Hope you subscribe. THanks!
Solution, get the yellow one, and replace the LED's for better ones.
+DP2050 In theory...but it is also plastic. Just buy the Secur for $20, and it is waterproof.....super easy
Dude, I like this video
