Is Selena Really Want To Quit From Music?
Selena Gomez has hinted at her desire to retire from music because she wants to focus on being an actress.
This was revealed when the singer of the song "Single Soon" was a guest star on the "SmartLess" podcast hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett.
Gomez explained that she is happy with her musical activities, from working on albums to concert tours. However, she also found happiness through acting, such as when she starred in the series "Wizards of Waverly Place" early in her career.
"I started having a lot of fun with music and then touring was really fun. But I was doing my tv show "Wizard of Waverly Place" at the same time and I just found it really fun. So, I just kept going. But the older I get, the more I'm kind of like, I would like to find something to just settle on," said Selena Gomez.
She adds, "I do like I have one more album in me. But, I would probably choose acting. I am gonna wanna chill because I'm tired."
Back in 2011, Selena told "Cinema Nerds" she was more focused on onscreen.
"I think of myself more as an actress. I do my music because I'm very passionate about my music. I love my music. I love inspiring people. I love making a great songs tha are just really fun. But, that's all it usually is for me."
She explained, "I do work really hard when it comes to acting... So, that's where I hope to be recognized professionally most."
And that dream is come true. Selena has received critical praise for her role in "Only Murders in the Building". Selena Gomez who play "Mabel Mora" on the Hulu series has been nominated for 2 Golden Globes and 2 Prime Time Emmy Awards.
