Played 2 solo games yesterday. My very first and second. First was a learning curve. I lost by round 5 taking too many scarcity tokens. Game 2 was a blast. I knew exactly what to do. But AI opponents making your life not hard but extremely hard. To the point that in the last round I had to scramble to change my plans of meeting certain goal just cause AI Shaman took much needed megalith spot. So I had to take 2 scarcity tokens last round to finish 4rth goal out of 6 on easy mode. Good game. Good components. I can see AP setting in while programing actions and might take long time at 4 players, but none the less - great experience. Pros Variability Animal and resources components Solo Very thematic Cons Human meeples kinda ugly and small Rulebook not very clear ( example: which tiles to use at different players count) Action programming can create longer downtime at higher player count I also own Endless winter game. Endless winters wins in components quality. But loses in game play variability and setting up time. 7.5/10
Oh I've wanted to know what the game is about for quite some time now since the cover drew my interest. Thanks for the review. I think I'll have to try it before I decide on getting it or not. But my first impression is really good. 😊 (to be honest... I mostly want to play with the animal figures right now...)
This one has been on my radar - was keen to hear your thoughts!
The subject matter helps (we currently live about 10 steps from the English channel), but this one is really in our euro-gamey sweet spot.
This one is on my radar. Thanks for the quick overview.
Thanks for watching!
Mille merci pour votre analyse sur mon jeu
Notre plaisir! C'est un super jeu!
Thanks a lot, hope we'll manage to play it together, learning curve is great and would love to play against others who played a fair few times!
Let's definitely do that! Jess is already pretty good at it, and I will also play.
