মিলিবাগৰ সামাধান | How to Control Mealy Bug - Parijat Nursery Jorhat

Mealy bugs are some of the most common pests in houseplants and vegetable crops. In this video Mr PK Saikia, Proprietor of Parijat Nursery Jorhat will talk about what mealy bugs are, how to find them, how to kill them, and to prevent them from coming back.
There are multiple ways of killing mealy bugs, some of the household remedies include using kerosene and shampoo sprays.
Our solution is to use chemical insecticides for this purpose. For food crops this method is least recommended by us but for large scale use, this seems the most viable.
The insecticide we are using is called Actara (Composition is Syngenta Actara, Thiamethoxam 25% WG) produced by Syngenta along with a sticker called APSA 80 by Amway as mealy bugs tend to stay on the bottom of the leaves.
We also explain the difference between Systemic vs Contact Insecticides.
We also explain the symbiotic relationship of mealy bugs with ants and how you can find them by following the ants on your plants.
In this video we show a method proven kill them off and prevent them from returning.
