  • Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appears to lose his temper in an attempt to get opposition MPs back to their seats at the House of Commons has stirred up media reactions.
In a Commons TV video, Trudeau can be seen marching across the floor towards a group of MPs still standing and talking after the recess bell was rung for a several times, took Opposition Whip Gord Brown’s arm and moved him towards his seat. Trudeau also seemed to have bumped New Democratic Party (NDP) MP Ruth Ellen Brosseau, who was standing behind him. MPs from Trudeau’s party, Liberal Party of Canada, clapped and cheered for his move, while the opposition accused Trudeau for “manhandling” Brown.
As House of Commons Speaker Geoff Regan tried to settle the floor, Trudeau again crossed the floor and argued with NDP Leader Tom Mulcair, who said the PM was “pathetic” to “elbow a woman.” Brosseau said she was “elbowed in the chest by the prime minister and then I had to leave” because “it was very overwhelming.”
Trudeau apologizes “unreservedly” for his “unacceptable actions,” saying he “took it upon myself to go and assist him forward, which was I now see unadvisable as a course of action.” The PM said he looks for "opportunities to make amends.”
The MPs gathered to vote on the government’s physician-assisted dying legislation, bill C-14, which was defeated 172-137.

@@damontsekos9406 That's what we'll continue to get so long as we're passive observers, and regardless of the party in power. Gov'ts tends to respond to the pressure of lobby groups and their economic interests, and managing the economy can be seen as the primary role of gov't. So it seems to me the largest lobby in this country isn't living up to their democratic responsibilities, and asserting as an imperative the importance of addressing the common economic interests of the vast majority of Canadians. If we don't then we only have ourselves to blame, and we can look forward to widespread increases in poverty the way things are going.

But noone made any rules about blocking that guys path. so he was "stuck" (clearly just playing along) in order to stall for time maybe?
Trudeau doing this just gave them extra cannon fodder to slam him for doing something "horrible" milking it for all it is worth.

Bad luck, dany, you don't get to decide what incidents get dismissed and what don't. The feminist should have 1) never, ever, EVER reverted to any physical means to get what he wants. That's hypocrisy. He tells EVERYONE in the world that he's a feminist and then changes the rules when it suits him. FUCK HIM! 2) You're not allowed to man handle politicians in the chamber. Mr "It's 2016" doesn't get a pass because there are some people (YOU) who want to make nothing out of it. He fucking manhandles me, I'm knocking him the fuck out. He's lucky he didn't get knocked the fuck out.

If you want to tell the entire world that you're a feminist and bad luck if you don't like it, you don't ever get to use physical force to solve your problems EVER AGAIN!!! That's blatant hypocrisy and you're an apologist. The reason the "accident" happened was because Mr "It's 2016" decided to use physical force against a fellow politicians in the chamber which is NOT ALLOWED EVER!!! But he is such an arrogant fuck and a hypocrite, he thought he was above the rules. He learnt pretty fucking quickly he was wrong. But of course, there always going to be APOLOGISTS like yourself who rear your ugly heads that want to give him a pass for breaking the rules.
It doesn't work that way, champ, if Mr "It's 2016" tried that on me, I'd knock him the fuck out. You don't EVER put your hands on someone in a public place. FUCKING EVER!!!

There are ways to handle this kind of situation and he failed miserably. And no this comment has nothing to do with hitting the woman because any asshole can see it was an accident but could have been prevented from both sides. Obviously that MP will milk it a little as most politicians do.

  • @SoccerScienceLab

It is pathetic how people are making a big deal out of this. You can see that the MP was trying to get by, but there were people standing in his way. Justin decided to get up and help him through, so that the people in the way would notice that they are blocking the passage. The woman hardly got touched, and it was clearly accidental. Ridiculous how she was "overwhelmed" and could not participate in the vote. Absolutely pathetic.

    • @DemelicosHelsaint

People standing in there isn't uncommon, I have seen a lot more congestion in that center part than half the center being taken up.
To me, people should be held to their own beliefs. What JT did was 100% against his own beliefs. Was it an accident, totally. But despite that, a SJW type mentality (which he demonstrates through his actions constantly) would not stand for it accident or not. That is what my point is. To be honest, I doubt he hurt her at all, I wouldn't doubt it was less intrusive than a poke with a sponge. But that isn't my issue, my issue is if it had been someone else, would he have been understanding, and I highly doubt he would have.

+jellyfishattack Didn't conservatives call him a typical librul pussy before he beat the crap out of THEIR bouncer? I've seen a lot of people commenting (erroneously) that 'they would lose their job if they did that'. Mr Trudeau was at one time a teacher, and as we all know, if students are being unruly and difficult, it might be necessary to 'persuade' them to 'get to class when the bell rings'. This didn't look much different than the 'adult' in the room taking matters in to his own hands. Clearly the NDP and Cons were having a good old time delaying the proceedings and THEY were clearly the bullies in the process. But you go ahead and demand Trudeau's resignation, keeping in mind of course, that Harper's government used the 'end of debate' tactic more than 100 times in 9 years and this was the first time the Liberals used it. Where do you think they learned it from? And did the Liberals ever pull a stunt like this? And they had more than 100 opportunities to try it.
