Heel it’s between bray wyatt (cuz of his creativity & how excellent he played the character & how he always switched things up when needed) & this ultimate final boss version of rock (even though I love every version of rock). For face I’ll say easily Daniel Bryan’s underdog babyface character & Steve Austin’s face/anti hero character
The more I payed attention to LA Knight, the more I realize he took inspiration from the Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. LA Knight has definitely done his homework. He’s like the modern day embodiment of what the Attitude Era wrestling was.
@@Venemofthe888 Pay attention to LA's mannerisms. You'll get it. The slight head turns while he's listening to someone, the usual way he uses his other non-mic hand while talking, his ramp walk, the way he raises his hand once he climbed the turnbuckle while he's being introduced. Those things are very Austin-like. And I'm not surprised if he perfectly nailed it coz LA used to work as a motion capture actor for some WWE videogames.
@@terrorazeing This is the main thing for me, the mannerisms and rhythm & pace that he speaks at. When I first returned to watching WWE after last year's Royal Rumble, at first it was very jarring to the point it would distract me & take me out of all his promos. It took a few weeks for my mind to not hear Austin every time he spoke, then I was finally able to simply enjoy his moments.
Go back to his previous promo when he was still feuding with Bray (the one where he imitated Bray's voice lol). LA looked like he was using his inner unhinged 90s Flair there lol
Paul Burchill was one of most creative characters of the Rutheless aggression era. He genuinely would've been something even bigger if WWE used him properly.
Sami and Truth are really great. They brung in their comedic charm to Bloodline and Judgement Day, two serious groups and made them the characters break many times lol
3:00 Sorry, but I believe LA Knight's black vest with repeated logo on it and his round shades are actually a nod to Brian Pillman, and not to Austin nor The Rock. I've seen Pillman wear a same style of black vest and round shades like that before.
@@Venemofthe888 It really is. Not just the vest, but his overall casual attire from last year. That black vest + sleeveless undershirt + round shades + cool necklace + jeans combo is basically a Brian Pillman getup lol and definitely not a nod to Austin.
That can be said for the majority of the roster except for a few exceptions. Hulk Hogan- Superstar Billy Graham/The Rock and Stone Cold-LA Knight/Ric Flair-Nature Boy-Buddy Rodgers. List goes on and on
i wouldnt say l.a. knight is copying the rock and austin, id just say that the rock and austin brought more realism and trash talk to wrestling and knight is just doing that. he’s too realistic to himself to be copying anyone. the cadence in his promos is the only thing id say he copies from them. 5:17 and he just proved my point 😂
The comments im reading about the dumbass comparison of LA Knight and Austin and The Rock. It's doesn't make any sense. He never talks like Rock or steve austin. Its Bullshit. Geez.
Gotta love the ignorance and/or arrogance in thinking Kairi's pirate gimmick is based on PotC instead of the Japanese cultural phenomenon One Piece that predated PotC.
LA is a literal combination of stone cold and the rock. He's just toned down in a way. Or at least it's been the pg element of WWE that has him come off that way. Think he's got his gimmick down though
What’s yall favorite wrestling gimmick of all time
For me it is very easy john cena the doctor of thuganomics, Hollywood Rock
Great video Ross I never looked at the fact r truth and Sami are really similar in gimmicks

Yeah, seriously what does that jabroni Kevin Nash know about inspiration?
La knight also reminds me of Diamond Dallas page as well.
Mr Kennedy too
thats the case with anyone that acted like themselves. i dont know how people that just act like themselves can be copying anyone
and maybe even Hogan in some points

Paul Burchill was ahead of his time as far as characters go. The gimmick was a wonderful idea, but the wrong guy was in charge
“One of the most creative characters of the ruthless aggression era”. Bro was just a pirate 😂😂
Missed opportunity to have him host WrestleMania 36 & 37 😅
It was a Jack sparrow rip off what are you talking about creative lol

The similarities between Razor Ramon and Carlito are insane, right down to the apple. Even Carlito called himself out on it.
I remember the interview with Chris Van Vliet of Carlito talking about that
Seth Rollins is definitely a second coming of Shawn Michaels.
Absolutely not 🤣🤣
Another great reaction ross yeah🔥💥,keep up the great work and this video was on point
Kevin Nash on that Thumbnail: 😡🤬
Booooooooooooo
That's the whole reason i like LA because of the nostalgia
You were right about punk being that 5th guy. I was thinking the same and you called it. Props man. Let’s see how it plays out
Cool reaction as always Ross 💯
I thought max the implaler was supposed to be a mad max character
it is. it is no where near the same gimmick or even a copy, she just made a fuss to try to get attention.
Right a Valhalla literally took inspo from Norse mythology with her look
Paul Orndoff's Mr Wonderful gimmick definitely inspired Lex Luger's Narcissist gimmick 👍
At 11:49, there is arena from Mortal Kombat Armageddon called Meteor Storm
Triple H's refusal to give Kairi a world championship is one of his greatest booking crimes.
I mean kairi isn't really there yet she has a chance to win a mid card first tho
Because wwe always screw asian wrestlers...They need someone who speaks English not with wrestling skills...😢
@@thekings6150 She "isn't really there yet"? What the hell does that MEAN?
@@vinaypingu He doesn't screw Iyo, just Kairi.
@@Kratosx23What about Nakamura? Some stupid ass gimmick to put someone over...
I think what LA Knight is doing also works because there is a demographic still watching WWE that was around during the attitude era
Great video man .
Shawn Michaels is m'y favorit wrestle
Glad you enjoyed the vid bit of an ego trip on my end as I edited that one :)
It crazy cause la knight is the new rock of the this era

Knight ripped of The Rock, Austin and Rick Flàir😏
Sandman is a mixture of Stone Cold and Steve Blackman
Interesting, since you just got finished watching another video about copying other gimmicks a couple of days ago
Wouldn't Owen Hart being in the Nation of Domination be the same thing as Sami and R-Truth?
Stone Cold

Austin stole Dr D's persona.
Why is no one talking about 2k24 MyRise Undisputed 666 days as champion???
So no one's gonna talk about Dom and Nick copying Ethan page and Elias??😅
1:25 when was this
One Night Stand ’05
Nah he’s wrong, truth & Sami had the same conclusion. Won the tag gold from members of the group at wrestlemania on night 1.

Vince screwed Heyman
I agree
LA Knight would be perfect for The Attitude Era
this is essentially the same video you watched the other day maybe we need a youtuber version of this lol
Knight copies rock and austin. Even his finishers are similar to the stunner and people's elbow.
Dude LA Knight sucks lmao.. This video highlights that very well.
