I'm from Australia and stayed at the mirage on our honeymoon on the exact date this video was shot 1st July 1990 .Still have my check out receipt and saw we paid US$79 plus tax per night for our room. The Mirage was something special and i remember the huge crowds that gathered every night to watch the volcano erupt. We stayed 5 nights and saw Siegfried and Roy who put on a fantastic show. Also saw Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman at the Mirage having a great time playing roulette. I think they just finished filming days of thunder. Great memories.
My first time in Vegas was in the October of this year and exactly how I remember it. We stayed in Dunes and I remember then it was way past its sell by date and the cocktail waitresses looked liked they had been there since the 60's.I remember there were still some small single storey mom and pop hotels on the strip and it was nowhere near as built up as it is now.
