Sheeeeeeesh
If I'm not mistaken the cost of Merkava 4 is 4.5M USD but the cost of this Medium Main Battle Tank is $6.5 Million each WTF?
do even we even need these ph is a bit mountainous airsupport might be better like attack helecopters with infrared cuz of the bloody trees and it helecompters are much better force multipliers than wheeled tanks that can get stuck on mud or the terrain
this is a good choice but we do need to train our soldiers on how to use it before we buy in bigger amounts
more pa kaylagan natin yan unang pulbosin yong nasa bundok
The bridge here in Philippines was only good for 20 tons
i think Philippines need that German IFV called PUMA
Next the mlrs pls
Hopefully, the government would bring back the mandatory rotc training for the college students.
nah.. that's root of corruption.
Kelan ba delivery nito s
I would think that many countries are re-evaluating the need for tanks.
Maybe Trucks or Jeep type vehicles filled with NLAW, AT4, Javelins and Stingers may be a better choice.
These light tanks would do well in a combat situation similar to what happened in Marawi.
@@razorsharpsmile .. It’s not terrorists I was thinking of.
@@Ubique2927 And I was thinking of their internal security. They've been fighting the terrorists for decades.
@@razorsharpsmile .. I know I live in the Philippines. Tanks are almost useless against terrorists.
@@razorsharpsmile although the Sabrah light tanks and the pandur 2 could be armed with an iron fist
The tanks we are receiving don't have the iron fist system and they could only withstand 7.62 mm rounds our APCS can withstand that too we can upgrade the Armour and make it able to withstand more but it cannot withstand rpg fire that destroyed APCS unless the Philippines decides to fit counter measures it just has enough fire power to pack more of a punch than an APC
DPAT BUMILI PA NG MGA MAIN BATTLE TANKS NA KHIT 100 UNITS...AT DAGDAGAN PA YANG MGA MEDIUM TANKS NA 100 UNITS MAN LANG.
I’m confused with pandur 2 and sabrah light tanks
Apart from China, the Philippines should look into buying their armoury from surrounding neighbours like Japan, SKOREA, Australia and India.
Yes English na
AFP should watch Ukraine war. That's how you defend your territory. That's how procurement should be made. Specially include having local production of high volume requirements like drones and advanced portable anti tank and anti aircraft manpad. Then advanced anti aircraft systems like Patriot or S300. And land based anti ship missiles.
Since the Philippines is comprised of multiple islands and has no land borders with other countries if the invading country sends in their marines we must defend our coastline try to intercept the landing craft before it lands and we should take advantage of the jungle and mountainous areas of the country and if the invading force has mbts their convoys will just destroy the bridges making them unable to move and we could use missiles like brahmos when it's acquired to destroy the enemy warships and coast guard ships anti tank weapons are pretty useful
@@emperorparasite7063 yes
they need amphiviois combat vehicles or acv
I buy pandur ll tankshellperd cannon
combat tanks of 200 pieces warfields
and spears
japan doesn’t sell its type 16 tank
For $200 million the Philippines could of bought 40 Bayraktar drones, or Redback IVF from South Korea, would of been a better option.
the acquisition is for light tanks not armed drones
Why OTO MELARA HITFACT TURRET???,, Both ASCOD II and PANDUR II aquip with new autoloader turrets...
Cost of the turret and human loaders are still more faster and less prone to failure (Unless untrained or injured).
We can have an autoloader turret, just good luck finding one that is willing to sell to us, Belgium did not want to sell their turret designs because of human rights violations and Israels light tank turrets are unproven in combat.
Isn't the one that you showed on the vid, especially when talking about the gun and turret, Isn't the vehicle beside the picture the Type-16 of the JSDF?
good demo tho
Hopefully the Philippine army future main battle tank should be the Israel made i forgot the name of the israel main battle tank 😅or they could also buy the leopard from Germany
Merkava?
@@Peejay981 yes that one
Too little ang binili na equipments.
No
@@thelastcommander8765 why?
@@guillermogarcia2509 Tell that to our bridges
No Armor best Armor
I thought it was panzer for a first
"Panzer" tanks are not in production ever since the end of the 2nd world war. No, I am not including the Leopard series as "Panzer" tanks.
V shaped hull?
The underbelly of the hull has a V shape, with the point towards the ground for anti-tank mine safety.
China in panic

ANTAGAL DUMATING BWISIT 😭😭
Austrian Tank.
MBT has no place in PH terrain. Light and medium is better
Pg umupo si Leni tangal lahat yan HAHAHA she rather sell Philippines instead of dealing with military stuff
ALAMANO BRAIN xD
Should the PH just take the Turkeys Tb2 Drones instead of tanks. Way too old drone is seen much better on the battlefields. Tanks is a downgrade and a major upgrade. Waste of tax payment too. Stupid deals for the Filipinos Arm Forces PH,
Drones and tanks have different roles
