I like the fact, that music can be given the honor of being "crossed over", this time, to a people who would normally frown upon "Dance Music" as a whole.
This is a complicated song to play, being that most of is it processed and cut up sections of parts.

@Krimewave186 Agreed. He used some of the original chords, and then did his own thing with it. If I wasn't lucky enough to hear the classic, sublime genius of the original, I wouldn't have been encouraged to listen to it, from what I'm hearing here.

listened to it a lot of times, knowing the timeless masterpiece from Detroit legend Derrick may. i am of the opinion Francesco has made it well, he played it very soulful and complete with own interpreted parts, so what i think he´s a truly respectful Person, no one here should talk in a negative way... thx 4 this mighty eargasm

Totally agree. I play the piano (after a fashion..bit of a learner really) and to see and hear this is really something special. I never really rated Strings of Life...just didn't really appeal to me. But this performance shows that there is much more to the track than I ever realised. This guy not only is a very accomplished player; he has real rhythm; something that many classical (dots on a page) players lack.

Yeah but this re-interpretation is very very good. It's also good because it shoulded be very hard to find the way how to play it on a piano only.
If an artist likes your music well enough to even try to cross it over to an audience that only apprieciate classical piano, I say, good luck to him!

spidirr1 The creation of the track was a big deal, sure. But this is a beautiful interpretation of it and worth admiration. It brings out how ethereal and how deep-in-your-soul-euphoric Derrick's piano riff really is.
+spidirr1 yes, maybe any pianist could play this. but the fact is that only francesco realsed this song in this way. maybe you should hear the whole album not for piano. he took some electronic songs and cover them. the bells is even better than the original version imo
