Most people don't catch this at first, I didn't, but in the very first episode Kaley mentions the part that breaks in "Out Of Gas", the catalyzer and how they may need a new one soon. Soon came up very quick.
I love it when a reactor is completely surprised by the "good night kiss". It is THE best scene for watching reactions to Firefly. Some get suspicious of "Saffron" and it spoils the surprise a bit.
My theory about Simon and River's parents is that they knew about what was happening at the Academy. They are so loyal to the Alliance that they voluntarily participated in the government's experiments to create a tool to help consolidate power and control over the people. They may have even been part of a breeding experiment to create someone just like River.
The language they are speaking is Mandarin. The backstory is that the resources on Earth were used up, so humanity migrated to this new star system with many planets. By this time human civilization had only two languages: English and Chinese, and people spoke a mixture of the two.
You may have to temper your expectations. This show only had half a season and ended rather abruptly. The movie may wrap up a few things but there will be questions never answered.

Looking at River's dialog in _Ariel_ and past episodes, it is clear she is either reading minds or sensing emotions. But because of her psychological impairment she is unable to communicate or do anything useful with her perceptions.
Slaves did not build the pyramids. Archaeologists have found the city of the living. Repeat with tablets with writings of those who did build the pyramids. It was supposed to have a blend of different languages from the to most powerful Nations at the time. China US and someone else, but anyway it is a dialect still spoken today 😎
A witch or warlock is always bad because God decreed that magic is not for humans. There's no such thing as a "good witch". Magic was mentioned like 30 times in the bible and it's always bad because some powers you shouldn't have as they are corrosive to the soul. In that corruption, you corrupt those around you which is why God decreed that they shall be put to death. I'm not a Christian, but I do enjoy studying religions.
"Safe": The cattle are unloaded on Jianying, and the crew goes window shopping... "Our Mrs. Reynolds": Mal is married!? "Jaynestown"; Mal takes a smuggling job, Simon poses as a buyer, and there's a statue in the town square... "Out of Gas": Simon's birthday is rudely interrupted by an engine room fire... "Ariel": Simon reveals his criminal side...
It was just bad writing, never would have actually happened, that Mal took River and Simon to the cattle sale. They would've been on the ship or stayed in town. ONLY BAD WRITING made for this episode to get them in this situation. For good writing to get them here, they'd need some much different reasons and circumstances. Thankfully, bad writing is rare or uncommon in this series. Not so bad writing that people think a way of life that aids aids and nurtures is evil, as stupid as that is.
With the number of Baldwin's out there, it isn't an uncommon mistake to make. For the longest time I thought he was related, til I found out he wasn't but shares the same last name. As far as the ship name goes, both are accurate. One is its model name and the other is its designated name.

Best two lines in the series (IMHO):
"What does that make us?"
"Big damn heroes, sir."
She couldn't help the "sir..."
Its a Firefly class ship, called SERENITY!! holy cow girl hahaha
the language is Mandarin, they were able to get around tv censors by using Chinese

1:13:43 I don't think the doctor who screwed will report anything. He would have to explain to upper management that he screwed up in the first place.
Best scene involving Witchcraft...'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'...
Why is she a witch? She turned me into a newt!....well, I got better...
Serenity is the name of the ship and the ship is a firefly class vessel within the Firefly universe.
The language they are speaking is Mandarin. The backstory is that the resources on Earth were used up, so humanity migrated to this new star system with many planets. By this time human civilization had only two languages: English and Chinese, and people spoke a mixture of the two.
More real would be Chinese, English, Spanish and Russian

"Out of Gas" is great. A neat way to do some exposition.
1:12:19 Well - yes he ratted them out and that's not ok, but he has more of a reason than just greed: It was Jayne who got sliced open by River.
2:02 I'm surprised you didn't point out a young Zac Efron playing young Simon.
Finally. Someone who like me didn't know who Zac Efron was
@@seanmcmurphy4744 Who is Zac Efron?

Just stopping by to tell you you're a legend😎
They speak Chinese and English as the two primary languages. With some twists.
Jayne is supposed to be abrasive, but he is useful to the crew...mostly.
fun stuff Amanda. a modern classic.

Each episode cost several million dollars. That’s why it was canceled. Not for lack of fandom 😞
I do love the one when he about kills the man for being a jerk

Thank you I hope you are happy where you are too❤❤❤
Knowing this is a re-upload and haven't seen an upload for a while now. Hope you are doing okay with your health.
"Moll." That's oll.
mall...
@@mmm-mmm -- LOL. Good one. Mall Flanders. A gangster's mall...
I appreciate you and thank you for making content.

Jayne is only in for the money, the reason will become apparent.
I'm sorry, but one of MY idiosyncrasies or pet peeves is people who are 5 episodes into a show and don't know the "ships mechanic's" name.
Or the ship's name or the doctor's name. Some of us are terrible with names. Here's a fun drinking game: take a shot everytime she calls malcom mall 😂

30:20 His name is Mal (short for MALcolm) not Mall. Wow.
3 at a time is just too many.

Aww, you cut out the good quotes? I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, that is ... special.
17:10 "Y'all know how much I love this show" Yeah, so much that you can't remember ADAM Baldwin's name or the name of the ship they're flying in.
Someone having a bad memory doesn't indicate how much they do or do not like a show.
