    Sedum spurium is native to Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and the Russian Federation.
    Location:
    Sedum spurium cannot grow in the shade. It prefers dry or moist soil and can tolerate drought. It also grows on rocks, walls and beside river banks.
    Soil:
    Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils, prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil.
    Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils.
    Temperature:
    Sedum spurium can tolerate frost up to -25°C (-13.0°F). In spring the plants start to grow at 15 to 18°C (60 to 65°F).
    Height:
    Sedum spurium is a short semi-evergreen perennial groundcover, up to 10 cm (4 in) tall in foliage and up to 15 cm (6 in) tall in flower.
    Flowers:
    Sedum spurium flowers are naturally pink, but varieties might also have white or dark red flowers. The flowers usually have five petals, seldom four or six. There are typically twice as many stamens as petals. The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs).
    Frlowers: 1 to 1.5 cm (0.4 to 0.6 in) wide
    Petals: 10 to 12 mm (0.4 to 0.48 in) long
    Seeds:
    Cluster of 5 many-seeded, basally united follicles.
    Germination:
    The seeds germinate best at temperatures of 18 to 22°C (65 to 72°F). Most seedlings appear within 14 to 21 days.
    Leaves:
    Sedum spurium have water-storing leaves there are two leaves per node along the stem. The leaves are flat, fleshy, short-stalked green leaves. Up to 2 cm (0.75 in) long.
    Care:
    Sedum spurium does not need special care. On rich soil is recommended to tear the plant once every three years.
