thank you for saying that - you dont NEED to reset for the ENTIRE year in ONE DAY. I often fall into that bad habit and think a weekend will reset and make me ready for everything. Instead, like you said, the reset is a process
Yes girl, it’s a lot of pressure tbh! Especially as a creator, to do it all as quickly as possible, but literally why is that considered normal. 365 days of planning, aspirations, goals, etc in just a couple days does not seem very realistic to me. Take your time girl!! 💗
I love the unfollow accounts that don't bring you joy. That is so true, especially in family accounts where the drama and fighting cause anxiety . Great advice.❤
One thing I learned in 2023 is to prioritize me and my well being under my own standards and definitions. ❤
hey selena!! as someone in the vet field, PLEASE make sure you get insurance for your puppy when you do get one! it’s so worth it. especially if you decide to get a pure bred puppy, every breed comes with a lot of medical issues- mutts are the best :)
omg thank you! yeah, I def don't want to get a puppy until I know we can afford to pay for pet insurance and vet visits when needed, puppy training, etc. If you can't afford it, I think some ppl shouldn't have pups, kind of like kids, but I digress lol. Thanks for the info, I still need to do so much research too. before moving forward.
As someone who works in pet insurance, has two family members in the vet business and has 5 dogs (2 of which have been expensive medically) YES TO THIS! Pet insurance is important and best to do when they're young before pre-existing starts!

Hi Selena! I’m in the middle of watching this video, and I just had to comment-mid-video-because you’re wise beyond your years. I wish I were as self-aware as you when I was your age. I loved how graceful you were when discussing resetting your year (progress over perfection). I’ve also been working on unraveling diet culture from my life, and one of my long-term goals since 2018 is to prioritize movement and nutrition for my mental health first. When I first made that switch, my mentality around health and fitness improved so much. Keep up the great work!

thank you for sharing this '2024 reset' and your goals and intentions for the new year - i love how you start off with cleaning + decluttering your space because i feel like many of us forget that our environment plays a huge role in our overall health and wellbeing. also, thank you girl for stating that taking the time to reset and plan out your goals instead of trying to cram it all into one day is totally okay! i feel like that's also something many of us forget (myself included). just putting it out there, but if you ever decide to do a local 'meet & greet', or wanna explore new food spots with another local foodie, i'm in! ❤ (praying you + the family have power, and are keeping warm during this first winter storm of the year! i know it's like an ice skating rink out there throughout the city)

Hey Selena! Great video! I have a Honda pilot and even though it's more than what u wanna spend, I highly recommend. Mine is 2012 and still going strong. Very reliable car. Not too bad with gas. But what I love the most is the 3rd row and if u put those down, the extra cargo space. U can do so much like go on road trips with your fave peeps or look at out the sunset from the back of the car. It's got a sunroof too which I personally love. Have a great 2024!
Oooh I will have to look into it, the extra cargo space does sound nice tbh and I LOVE honda, I’ve always been a Honda girlie tbh 😅 I def want a sunroof, the dream would be a panoramic sunroof since winters are so cloudy here, it would help let more light in 🤪

I have a Toyota rav4 hybrid and it’s been great. I had a very similar game plan to yours where I bought a house then a car. If you don’t need a car everyday definitely recommend paying it off, which is what I did. It makes everything so much easier and interest rates are crazy right now! Good luck it’ll be worth saving for!
That is awesome! what model/year did you get and what MPG do you get on average? If you don't mind me asking :) thank you, I'm def looking forward to owning one one day, at the moment with my neck pain I"m really not able to comfortably drive anyway, so I have time to save up.
@@SelenaTrevino yeah I have a 2022 rav4 xle. On a full take my odometer usually says 550-590 but mpg on sticker is about 42 city/38 highway. I work about 25 minutes from where I live and drive 6 days a week so I really needed a reliable car. And I know it’s going to last me a long time so I decided Toyota was the way to go! The hybrid is worth it in my opinion, with the prices for gas it’s definitely more bang for your buck. I also live in the PNW and having an SUV is a must!
Mazda has nice SUV’s too if you haven’t looked into them yet

Ahh. I literally just bought a 2024 Hyundai Tucson hybrid last week and I am obsessed!! I was also debating between this car and a Toyota Highlander but went with the Hyundai 🤭

i would love if you did a video on your video editing process/tools! i’m trying to get into filming/editing this year and i am sooo lost. i’m trying to edit my first video now and im confused as to where you all are finding the storage space 😭
it all starts with the laptop, I only save videos and footage so that's the main use, and I also got the 1 TB macbook this time around bc 500 GB was not enough. something many content creators don't talk about is storage and disk space, in order to efficiently keep up with monthly/weekly videos, you have to have a good digital organization and storage procedures that you follow. After a month of videos, I usually move the folders over to an external hard drive and delete from my laptop. depending on the size of your storage, you may have to transfer your files more often.

I love using Canva for vision boards. Which template do you use? Mine is never that big. lol, They always come out small for some reason. Happy 2024. I pray for speedy recovery and healing.
I believe I googled the dimensions of a macbook wallpaper and then just created a blank template with those dimensions specifically hehe :)thank you so much Maria! ❤

Hola! Don't think because a dog is hypoallergenic is not going to give you allergies. I have s almost 2 y/o Goldendoodle and he gave me asthma. I didn't have an episode since I was 5. I love him to death, part of our family

Hi Selena! As someone who suffers from Bipolar Depression and Anxiety along with ADHD, I take medication for both everyday but do you have any recommendations for someone who wants to eventually get off meds? Like a routine that you do to keep your mental health good?
I definitely have habits that help my mental health, but I think finding a routine that works for your mental health is so intimate and unique to you! I’d recommend just trying different morning and night routines and make not of what actually helps improve your mental health and what doesn’t. I did this with my previous therapist and it’s a PROCESS, there’s no “one routine fits all” method unfortunately. I also am very pro meds for mental health issues, I’ve been on meds for anxiety/depression several times and I think it’s great if it works for you.
