Rukka constructs the Madagasca-R jacket from highly abrasion-resistant Cordura 500D and 1500D fabric. Internally, CE Level 2 shoulder, elbow, and armor protect from impacts while a GORE-TEX detachable waterproof liner protects from the elements. The Class AA garment doesn't go light on comfort either, thanks to shoulder, sleeve, side, chest, and back vents along with a soft neoprene collar.

I have been riding with this jacket and pants combo since the fall of '23. Sizing is as the guys at Revzilla say, go down 1 on the jacket and I also went down 1 on the pants. For reference, I typically wear large Klim, XL Revit, 56 Dainese and 52 in Rukka. The temp ranges I put this kit through are from mid-20s to as high as 88F. When it's cold I use the Rukka Down X and it's comfy at those colder temps, I didn't notice the D3O as it remains flexible at colder temps. Once the temps pass mid-70s, the faults become apparent. Look at all those vents! I mean look at all those vents that don't allow any significant amount of airflow, even at highway speeds 75F or hotter and I was very uncomfortable due to lack of airflow. I can't imagine using this kit offroad working up a sweat but only going 20mph. I just bought the Airgobi for the really hot days, but I'd like to see a better-vented ADV jacket from Rukka that could extend into the hotter months.
Great response to this review. I was in my Rukka dealer today and had decided on exactly the same options. Airgobi for the hotter months 34 degrees Celsius and above.
I was speechless when i saw the roles reversed. Pat great job with the review 👍. Spurge great job keeping a straight face (sorta) and not saying anything 👍👍.
Table is finely turned?!!! 😅😅
Well done boys, great atmosphere & great product, but most importantly, great review 👍
Pat, you did a great job. I would have liked to see you make him break character, like he's always tried to do with you. Hope to see you doing more reviews.
How the turn tables...
... have turned...
Is the fabric coated, or does it breathe? Most fabrics are coated, even though not waterproof. You should be able to blow through it.
Um... April 1st is 6 weeks away.
That's so weird to see him being quiet, have no idea what you talk about the jacket, was waiting when Spurge say something,,,,,,,, I mean whaaaat?!?
$1,200 and you have to pull a rain jacket over it (or wear one under it)?
Count me out.
The jacket comes with the Gore Tex drop liner. You can either leave it inside or wear it on the outside. Patrick clearly covered this in the first 25 seconds.
@@michaelskinner896 A Gore Tex drop liner is a fancy term for rain jacket.
@@michaelskinner896 A Gore Tex drop liner is just a fancy word for rain jacket. Don't believe me? The drop liner is literally referred to as a "stand alone rain jacket" in the product description. Head over to Revzilla and see for yourself. This is nothing more than a textile jacket with a nice rain jacket. Don't be gullible.
Yup, what's only missing, being as supposedly a summer kit, is the "warm" layer, which you can add, as Pat hinted at !
@@michaelskinner896 Thank you Capt. Obvious for repeating what I just said.
$1200 fuk that
