I love the subtle comedy of this scene women keep running to eachother because of their giant hats, the old ladies the in the same outfit, everyone all sraying proper and expresionless, contrasted with Eliza whose the only one actually just being herself. Its all so fake a flouncy and Eliza sticks out like a sore thumb. In doing so we can see the conedy of all the upper class people keeping up their niceties.
Doubtful. Kate grew up rich and was educated at upper-class private schools. The whole populist idea that Kate is some relatable middle-class Cinderella is nonsense; she and William knew each other from running in the same wealthy circles.
