  • I am Arun Muthyalampally ACE certified Personal Trainer. This video is about doing Cat and Camel.
    The Cat Camel exercise is a very good stretching and mobilization exercise for the trunk and also works on stretching and strengthening core muscles.
    It will help to reduce pain of the lower and mid-back.
    The cat-camel exercise is a spinal mobilization exercise that helps a person to loosen their spine.
    It gets your lower back moving better.
    To do the cat-camel, the person is on their arms and knees and bends the spine up (like a cat) and then curves it downward (so your abdomen hangs to the floor, look like a camel).
    This exercise is also called as cat and cow pose exercise.
    Health Benefits of Cat Pose:
    Improve mobility of the spine.
    Stretches the back and neck.
    A great warm-up exercise before yoga practice paired with camel pose.
    Improve circulation of spinal fluid.
    Strengthens the muscles of the hands and wrists.
    Health Benefits of Camel Pose:
    Help to decrease fat on thighs.
    Opens up the hips, and helps to stretch deep hip flexors.
    Help to Stretches and strengthens the shoulders and back muscle.
    Expands the abdominal region, helps to improve digestion.
    Improves posture.
    Help to improve respiration.
    Loosens up the vertebrae.
    Relieve lower back pain.
    Help to reduce back pain in pregnancy.
