I have watched 5 reviews on this and no one mentions the Bimini top when not in use. I found out that the top down goes forward and you basically have to duck under it in the down position it's in the way. So you must have it up to get the most out of the deck space. That is a bad design in my opinion fix that and this thing is a big winner
Ok Im in the market for one and I was looking at this it is great for what I want to use it for but my main concern was the flapping noise as soon as I saw those i was concerned but you cleared that right up THEY DONT FLAP!! Yay!! Thats great to hear
Excited to say I'm getting the sport 18ft for family fun and I personally can't wait to put to my fishing challenge and I have no doubt it's going to be an amazing machine point blank, have a Blessed day everyone
I'm planning my first boat purchase. I really like these for price point and features. Is it made with salt water in mind ? I'm wondering if it needs any special treatment to prevent salt corrosion
Looks like a very cool unit. The one thing I would be worried about is how UV resistant all that plastic is? Looks to be the same as the spark which looks like crap after 2 years. Time will tell.
I detail vehicles as a hobby and I’ve found that chemical guys new car trim dressing works fantastic as a conditioner and sunblock for all the black plastics. Really helps restore that wet dark shine. A little goes a long way. Id probably give it a quick wipe down with that stuff a few times a year.
Hey man thanks for all your videos on the switch very awesome! Can you tell me what the total length is with trailer? Do you think the swim deck will be optional for 13ft model?
The should have put a gasoline proof fuel bib on that cap so gas doesn't spill on the cloth zipper piece. At first I wasn't sure about these as I have a speedster 150 255hp but the more I see them the more I like. I'll wait for a couple of years until they work out any bugs or offer more HP for this model.
How is this in tight shallow spots? I'm thinking for spearfishing and snorkeling this might be really good for getting off and on the boat. Looks like you could carry 3 divers and a spotter with ease, and with the range just from your two days of booting around should be more than sufficient for exploring nooks and crannies on small islands etc. Might even be decent for scuba diving if she'll handle swells okay, and cats, or tri-hulls are known for being stable, what was your experience like?
We beached it a few times, it just depends where you’re beaching soft white beach sand or an area with tons of shells and rocks you have to be cautious when beaching any watercraft
Hey!! Just wanted to know. How high is it about with the trailer? Trying to get one and I’m wondering if it can fit in my garage. I know it fits length wise just need to know how high it is to see if it will clear the garage door
will it fit, with the bimiini down, with my 6'8" garage clearance height? Or will the Bimini need to be removed completely? I saw this question posed before, but no answer.
What are your true thoughts on the clear vinyl sides? Damage easy or have long term durability potential? Are the toons chambered or is it one open toon??? With 5 people on board does it sink down low in the water or is it buoyant???
OK so you answered one question I had with the IDR because lake I go to sometimes has a lot of debris when it goes up and down. So did you have to use it at all? Do you know if it is a stainless steel impeller? I had to replace my plastic one on a spark since it got damaged with debris. Are there any side gates to go on it? How about the stern? Since this looks like a fairly short so how did it handle chop? Did it nose dive at all going over other boat wakes? Did you have to hold the handlebars when on cruise?
Thank you so much for the detailed video! I love that colour and shorter length! Do they make a camper enclosure for the compact length, or just the longer versions?
Looks awesome! Do you need to hold the throttle down while using cruise control? Hand fatigue is thing on my seadoo especially when going long distances so grip free control would be nice like a normal pontoon boat say.
OK finally a channel that allows comments about this I love the look of it I love the performance but my concern is what about boatlifts? My family has a lake place and I don’t believe this would work on the current boatlift we have I don’t think it work at all due to where the engines are or in this case engine so what’s the deal with that? What would somebody have to get which would be another five grand
Can I get one in Camo for duck hunting? Maybe NO bimini top. Just some Camo and cat tail netting over the rails. The lay down area looks like a very comfortable shooting position.
Those shocks in the back are actually small trim tabs with shocks built in. I’m assuming they were engineered like that so they wouldn’t sheer off when you launch off 10’ wave . Also the jet has has a trim system . That "plastic stuff " is either 30 or 40 mil. clear vinyl . Again I am assuming that bombardier manufactures their own . Last but not least it’s not a pontoon , I would consider it a tri - hull configuration . I have owned quite a few can -am , sea -doos over the years and they build a great product . I bet no one knows they built m-x bikes in the 70’s .
Only problem right now is that you can't find one for sale! Dealers have already presold their allotment and the Compact probably won't be available for a year!
Looks cool!! Still not sure why BRP had to give up making there Evinrude outboard motors though? You’d think they could’ve developed this and still keep the Evinrude brand alive!?? I hope the company that bought Evinrude will keep up with the same quality and standards that BRP had with that product!? #time to SWITCH 😎
