I don’t know if your still logged in styles but thank you genuinely for helping me get into this game series when i was younger. I found your fallout 2 vids when i was playing new vegas and it got me into the lore of the game and helped me have something to distract myself when i was going through hard times.
I think he's dead. I wonder if the next fallout (Be it 5 or something else) will be more like 1, 2, 3, or New Vegas. edit: Fallout 76 wasn't _quite_ it chief. I hope starfield and or TES VI are a step in a different direction (one that isn't oversimplifying and/or gutting mechanics that need polishing).
@@StylesV13 I hear Fallout 76 is getting NPCs and dialogue trees closer to that of Fallout 3 (I say 3 instead of 1, 2, or NV because there are only skill checks in speech and SPECIAL stats) so that's one step in the right direction.

Give up on the thought, You want the old Fallout go look at Wasteland 2 & 3. by InXile, they're made by former interplay devs of the top down Fallout games. It's probably the best RPG I've played in a long while.

Fallout Tactics is my favorite Fallout. Kind of an odd choice but the story it tells is pretty awesome and I played it countless times back in the day. I also can't help but think about what ending is canon, what happened to the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel. Bethesda has mentioned it in Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. There's also another possible mention to it in New Vegas. Fallout One and Fallout Two are also great games as well and playing them is a good way to learn their stories first hand.
Too bad Fallout 4 was a complete flop. They spent their budget on hiring people with low intelligence clearly since all they did was focus on graphics and combat and not on story or any interesting things like special dialogue choices. Hopefully we can see your channel moving again next fallout game, That is if uh. It's made by someone competent or Bethesda took the Negative steam reviews as a hint. Because the game was outright terrible. Batteries for Power armor that would last hundreds of years only lasting 12 minutes, Power armor no longer needing training, oh and dont get me started on the X01 power armor in a nuka cola amusement park. You know. After War armor in a Pre War park. It uh. Doesn't make sense all that much.
The game was bad. It may vary for you but I can only play so long vanilla before I have to use mods. When I use mods, I consider the game to be non-title. (i.e its own entity)

It made the armor feel more special, an armored juggernaut of a character in a suit of invincible armor, in 4 it was just stormtrooper plastic on a metal frame. You get shot and- oops there goes your armor blew right off. My point with Fallout 4 was poor writing 4 years ago, and when your game relies on storytelling and your writing sucks, you don't really have much of a game. What made Fallout special was Storytelling, it was so good. What noteworthy things has Fallout done the past revival after New Vegas? Big new game with incredible graphics and pathetic story? The Synth thing from 3 everyone called? Fallout 76? I just play Wasteland now, 1& 2 were made by the original devs of the top down Fallout, they made a studio called InXile, highly recommend over anything bethesda's going to produce- they've shown after Skyrim that they've simply given up on trying, They'll put in the bare minimum and see what fans squabble over.
StylesV13 A hope we both share. I wish I could play through with a Low INT build but I use Medicine, Science, and Energy Weapons for my playthroughs usually. Feel like there won't be much since it's a Bethesda game instead of Obsidian though.
Yup not what I expected from a fallout game F4's not a bad game but just a bad fallout some good news though bethesda pretty much flat out stated their ditching the player VA so there is hope yet.
