I take my hat off to you! As a tornado enthusiast and Spotter, I have NEVER seen anyone "lock" footage together like this using the power flashes as timing keys. It is brilliant and it is a really unique and interesting perspective I've never seen before, and I've seen just about every one of the thousands of videos on UA-cam at least 2 or 3 times! I for one truly appreciate the work you did to pull this off and I heartily thank you for it! And, as icing on the cake, you even did as most compilers don't do, and credited the original sources! Perhaps some day, you can tackle other tornado videos and do more compilations like this one. If you do, I will have to become a subscriber to your channel. You did a great job!
Inu no Taisho - To expand on this, I think the most important, interesting, and I would guess the vast majority of others world agree with me, is the 5/31/2013 El Reno tornado where Tim Samaras / the Twistex team lost their lives, and also was/is the largest tornado in the world ever, at 2.6 miles at its largest time/point. This video was tremendously well done. And there have been several documentaries done on the El Reno tornado, however, those were all in documentary format with interviews and so on, where what makes this interesting is the composition & compiling of POV footage. Then adding the maps and the path the tornado was tracking adds another level of depth and originality to this video. Very, VERY well done!
Inu no Taisho, I was thinkikng exactly the same! This is so very well done, I can definitely see this used as a promo for the individual(s) who created this. The use of graphs, clips, radar, maps etc along with the power flashes as a fade in and out point of connections just brings a whole new perspective on storm footage/documentaries. I too am a Storm Spotter, in the New Orleans area and love vids like this, but this is absolutely professional and well done!
well here are some more vids like this Elie 2007 F5: ua-cam.com/video/1zt6j4ts1FM/v-deo.html Cullman April 2011: ua-cam.com/video/hc9nGTv8PcQ/v-deo.html (this was posted a hour ago) Andover 1991 F5: ua-cam.com/video/nsgdWR1b9cM/v-deo.html (this is part 1) ive made more vids but never posted mostly cause of my bad weak PC There is a site made just for the el reno 2013 tornado (not made by me)
0 deaths, thats incredible! I moved out of Joplin MO, 2 days before the F5 tornado that struck there in 2011. My former house there was leveled. I lost 2 friends in that storm.
Decided to rewatch this since today (02/10/2020) is the 7 year anniversary. To me, this is still one of the better videos out there. Though it still brings me to tears watching it tear through my hometown, I thank you for deciding to make this video all those years ago.
This is probably the best one of these types of videos I’ve ever seen. Perfectly lined up with the others, and the flow from clip to clip was seriously amazing. More tornado videos should be like this.
First time I've ever seen different videos from different locations synced up like that. And the animated real time map to. Very well done! Hard to believe no lives were lost watching the extream violence of that storm that tracked so long through that town.
Wow, by far one of the best compilation of Tornado documentary video clips I've ever seen! Well done, professional from start to finish and to list the resources along with graphs and smooth transitions.... bravo! I would love to see more of this person(s) work. P.s. thanks for the stats at the end, it was all done in good taste and with respect.
This the best video I have ever seen. It was perfect. I got to see close up views and the direction it took and the way people reacted. It was exciting from beginning to end. I wish you would do more, but it is obvious, since it has been 4 years, that you are not. But again, it is one of the best I have ever seen. Good job.
This one of the best videos I have ever seen. I think you did a fantastic job. I hope to see more in the future. You could be my go to site to see the best videos on the internet. Perfect timing with the power flashes.
Easily, by far, the best put-together video I've seen! Amazing work and footage. I've seen many angkes of that tornado. What made it more terrifying was how fast it was moving.
this whole overall storm system had 2 sides, producing heavy snowfall in the Midwest and severe weather down south. I remember it like it was yesterday, this was a large multiple vortex tornado with funnels dancing around the common center
OUTSTANDING!!!! BRILLIANT!!!! Breathtaking footage of a real-life monster in action. EVERYONE should see this video to see and learn what a tornado is and what it's capable of. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS WITH US!!!!
great video. The editing was a perfectly timed event of what happened. The graphics were great too to show the map of where it was headed. I hope to see more of your work.
Good job on putting this together. Make more please. It was the best way to experience the whole thing. Fantastic editing and placement. Love the power flashes timed together on the split screen.
I remember that day so well because my mom and I were in Walmart on 98 when it passed us and I got to actually see it up close and it was terrifying but also exciting!! I can say with pride that even though it was a EF-4 Tornado luckily nobody died and almost as soon as it was over everybody everywhere was already going outside and was trying to clear roads, power lines, and start preparations for repairs!
man it was a hell of a time during 2013 because it was a Multi Vortex i was like 7 years old im now 13 man this brings me the hell during this storm thank lord i survived with my family 😔
You did a awesome job I was offshore when this happened. I heard my friend talking in this video. When he said he felt bad for the people behind red lobster. Guess what my house was being destroyed by this tornado when he was saying that. Off oak grove road behind red lobster. Great video man
In 1999, I had a very close (and very scary) call with an F4. Before that, I was pretty nonchalant about tornadoes. After that? I'll never again NOT take them very, very seriously.
I know all the experts say different, but when you can see a large tornado from distance, why in god's name do you park your car to go into a stationary building? Your car can be driven away from the tornado, a building stays in place. I understand when you cannot see the funnel or are completely surprised by it and seek shelter. But the idea of going into a building when you can actually see a tornado from distance is completely nuts to me.
This why I feel every home and establishment should have a storm shelter. I swore I heard him tell that lady to get under the table. Sorry. That storm will destroy everything in its path

Inu no Taisho I completely agree! Awesome and unique video!

To All Life Affected Be Comforted, Amen.
Whoever put this together should do this more often. Great job!

the destruction from that tornado was absolutely incredible.
Lot
MASSIVELY UNDERRATED video, every tornado enthusiast needs to see this

This effort shows real editing talent and provides an opportunity to observe the same moment in time from different locations. This is excellent.

I'm so glad no one died in this EF4 monster.
Thats incredible that there were no fatalities.
This tornado actually looks like a monster lurching across the land. Uniquely evil-looking thing. Great compilation job!
Brilliant editing here ! This is by far the best views of this event on YT ! Thank you for sharing !

I live in Mississippi I live in Utica and I remember hearing about this tornado that hit Hattiesburg that was a bad tornado I will never forget that.
I’ve seen dozens of tornado vids. But nothing like this! Bravo to whoever took the time to put this together 👍🏼👏🏻
OMGdude to much talking. Shut up.
OUTSTANDING!!!! BRILLIANT!!!! Breathtaking footage of a real-life monster in action. EVERYONE should see this video to see and learn what a tornado is and what it's capable of. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS WITH US!!!!
Nice job using the power flashes as sync points - very good comp! Well done.
great video. The editing was a perfectly timed event of what happened. The graphics were great too to show the map of where it was headed. I hope to see more of your work.
I remember when this happened. I live on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and I remember coming back and looking at the aftermath. It was just sad.
Who EVER edited this video did a great job. 🙌🔥 but besides that the storm looks so amazing 🙌
You could tell when the tornado was being shot by the students on Campus. Everybody started saying "Dude" every 2 seconds.
I headed to the comment section to shout out who ever synced these videos together but 200 people beat me to it.
NICE WORK!!!
Good job on putting this together. Make more please. It was the best way to experience the whole thing. Fantastic editing and placement. Love the power flashes timed together on the split screen.

4:45 That lady is so chill while husband is screaming. Epic.

Nice job putting this together!
Thank God they were no deaths in this tornado and to who ever put this together, Great job!
An excellent video compilation!
I remember this day very very well.
Judging by the terrain, some of these video clips were shot in the damage path. Hope they made it through okay.
Amazing compilation video. Like cannot state enough how good this video is lol. Wish we had this for more tornadoes.
Crap that thing was moving fast, what was the forward motion? 60mph??
sabishiihito 62 mph

I had 10 “dude” 9 “OMG” 7 “holy shit” 5 “holy fuck” 4 “OMFG” 4 “That’s it” 4 “Oh Shit” 3 “wow” 1 “Golly”
The "golly" really reveals the stress of the situation.

Hattiesburg and Petal just had another tornado. I live southeast of those citys in lucedale ms but I think we dodged a bullet
I cant believe people still are driving close to them

I live in Lucedale Mississippi Which is about a hour from Hattiesburg I was 3 in a half when it hit Hattiesburg
Really well put together.
why do people actually try to wait on red lights when running from a disaster?
Outstanding editing, great job...
2013 was a beast of a year
In 1999, I had a very close (and very scary) call with an F4. Before that, I was pretty nonchalant about tornadoes. After that? I'll never again NOT take them very, very seriously.
I think I figured it out, 21 miles in 33 minutes so it was moving at 38mph, sure looked a lot faster on video.
I know I'm 5 years late on your comment, but it was 62 mph! Crazy huh? That thing was MOVIN!
that some serious tornado's your getting get the hell out dodge people
6:57 looks like Lil dead man walking
Who did this video? Fantastic job. Where are you? Come back and do some more.
Why did you point out Marion county? Lamar and Forest are Hattiesburg's counties.

4:36 - Man: Start the car. Start the car!
Woman: You need to calm down.
Man: Let's go
Woman: Stop freaking out.
This why I feel every home and establishment should have a storm shelter.
