@@Castdeath you'rs right Hasbro is Nevers doing that , but i think we Can design and 3d print a double Stack to single Stack mag. So it fit in the ultra standard magwell
I think the entire point of the nerf ultra line was Hasbro's response to the overwhelming support for Dartzone and the success of their half-dart blasters. They saw how successful it was, and wanted to compete with them, but didn't want to straight up "Copy" them, so they created a brand new dart type and have been subtly trying to push it, in addition to Elite 2.0. As they seem to be trying to phase other lines out of market.
I dont think thats the case. Half length darts didn't really come into the mainstream until the Pro series came out, which was around the same time that Ultra came out too. Ultra is more of a response to everyone buying competitors waffle head darts instead of Nerf Elite darts for use in their blasters. Ultra blasters and darts are designed from the ground up to be proprietary and hard for competitors to replicate, and I imagine that it was a brand new patent to enforce copyright on, creating even more difficulty for competitors. Combined with the fact they discontinued Accustrike around the same time and began pushing the "farthest reaching dart ever" marketing for Ultra, it became obvious what their goal was. And it is now obvious just how much they failed in their goal.
Sounds about right. They have a hard road to go. Dart Zone Blasters have better performance, ammo, and adaptability as well as being way cheaper in most cases. The only thing i look for in Nerf blasters in the looks, which I subjectively think they win on most 1x1 comparisons. oh and the instructions/packaging is better. I hate the standard packaging crap that I cant always choose when I make an order. I want the pretty box!
I grew up playing with nerf in the 00s when they got really popular with the Nitefinder and Maverick. My brother and I had a lot of fun. Recently I had been getting out my old Nerf blasters to play with my nieces and they loved it. My brother surprised me a month ago by coming to visit with new Nerf guns he bought. Some simple Elite 2.0 pistols that are similar to old Nitefinders. I was shocked by how much harder they were hitting compared to my old blasters. My brother then really blew me away when a pulled out a Nerf Ultra 4. I ended up going to the store and buying some new guns, including a Nerf Ultra 2. I hadn't bought any new Nerf blasters in about 10 years. So I decided to do some research and find out more about what Nerf currently makes and what I missed. I ended up discovering your channel and got hooked. The production quality and effort you put into your videos is outstanding. I greatly appreciate your testing and chronograph data. It helps me know how powerful a blaster actually is (as I know from experience some blasters don't live up to the marketing hype). I know you've given Nerf grief over gimmicky new ammo types and the subpar quality of Elite 2.0, and rightfully so. As someone who got into the performance part of the hobby, those products don't really appeal to you. But, as someone getting back into Nerf and playing around with both my adult brother and young nieces these new lines work really well for me. Elite 2.0 has way more power than my old N-Strike stuff, although the build quality doesn't feel the same. Alpha Strike let me pick up some nice cheap (but well performing) pistols for my nieces to use. And the Ultra line is perfect for my brother and I because of their higher performance, yet not hurting too much (idk if they hurt more than Rival or not, but it seems like Ultra is more suited for house friendly battles). I love the styling on the Nerf Ultra line, the white and black and gold looks amazing. The 4 is the first flywheel blaster I've owned. I feel like cowboy shooting a Tongue/Jakobs pistol from Borderlands when I am using it. Because of your review, I went back and found a Mega Twinshock to buy, and love it. I want to get blasters for each size of ammo type cause I figured my nieces would think that's really fun. So I also got the Fortnite GL and recently ordered the Mega XL Boomdozer. The GL is hilarious to shoot, can't wait for my nieces to see it and I expect the XL to be similar. I know Nerf isn't offering as much that appeals to fans like you, but I want to thank you for the effort you put into your reviews cause it's helped me make many purchasing decisions. Also because of your videos I ended up ordering third party waffle head darts which I was delighted to find much cheaper and more accurate (I miss the old micro suction cup darts). In particular Nerf Ultra is ending up being a favorite for my brother and I, being a place between Elite and Rival. I do wish they would bring back the N-Force melee weapons, as I only ever bought the axe and my nieces love playing with it. This is a really long comment, but I wanted to give you the perspective of a returning Nerf fan, let you know why Ultra appeals to me, and thank you for your great work.
Elite 1.0 has the same power as Elite 2.0, but has OG N-Strike build quality, and Dart Zone/Adventure Force is much better than Alpha Strike at the same price point, and have ballistics better than Elite. So instead of buying a Stryfe, buy a Spectrum. Nerf's gimmicks are still awesome though.
Strong arm was my first blaster, which was the beginning of the elite era. I've sought out all the Elite blasterss, sold the ones that failed to keep my interest, bought some more. Got hundreds of blasters that just sit around because when the big bad lockdown happened, Elite 2.0 came out, which really did a number on my interest in nerf blasters. Its happy to hear you're getting into nerf blasters, you've got a whole world to explore!
This ultra blaster might actually sell pretty well, it comes with better accustrike darts and runs with AA’s instead of giant C or D batteries. The grip is also an improvement with no knuckle guard. Ultra darts are also getting cheaper.
@@Huey_AK-47_Brawl_Stars well thats you opinion and i actually prefer the rival because of the performance and elite is more interactive. Oh and rival is kinda frustrating when scavenging darts
I feel like part of the problem of the darts not being consistent is the barrel being too big. And the gap between the flywheel being a tad too big. The elite blasters and rival blasters have the right size barrel and they fly straight
It's actually the opposite with any flywheeler. Once a dart has gone through the flywheels, anything in its path will only slow it down. A large diameter "barrel" is actually preferable, if there is one, as it won't impede the dart at all. Tight barrels are the forte of springers, because they need to actually harness the air volume being pushed in order to speed up the dart.
The issue is that the Styrofoam that Ultra darts are made of are not as compatible with flywheels as the standard Nerf foam. When flywheels were made, they were designed with Nerf elite darts in mind, and simply trying to force Ultra darts through that same mechanism without a proper adaptation means poorer performance. As for barrel length, yes that can have a negative effect on performance for flywheelers, but this same issue is present in every flywheel Ultra blaster yet released, including the ones with barely any barrel length. In the end its just more proof that Ultra was a poorly thought out idea that did not need to be made.
Speaking as someone from Germany, Ultra actually is neat. We don't have Rival blasters here for legal reasons but we do have Ultra, so this is the only high performance option off the shelf we got.
I actually like the Strike for how it performs in a way and the way it looks. I'm really looking forward for the Ultra SPEED, hoping it actually shoots fast as advertise and is worth the 72 bucks it'll retail.
There's been some video footage on Instagram, it hits 7 darts per second just as advertised, if not a little more. Mags are not the same shape as other Ultra mags though. They're proprietary and made for faster feeding than Ultra mags. You get 2, and they hold 12 rounds.

@@moniyanprince62019 i wish i could add a pic of my collection here, but i have most of the dart blasters out there except the new ones like the one this video is about.
