another great vlog and I'm only 10 mins into it, thanks. This is so amazing , I need to visit . Northey island in the mid distance from the view. The Vikings landed there and then moved on shore and beat the saxons in 991 and Osea island behind it
Hi. Not to be a smart arse, but it has never been proven, nor has there ever been a shred of evidence that the ~Vikings landed or made their base on Northey. Far more likely they landed in what is now Heybridge Basin and approached Maldon by the original, and still named, The Causeway. We share an interest in history, so again, not being a smart arse, but thought you'd like this alternative view.
I lived in Maldon from birth (1981) to 2009 and have never been inside the Moot Hall. Wonderful insight. Thank you.
Wow how interesting. Maldon looks delightful. 🌟👒🌻🎺☀️Thanks for sharing this informative video, Adam.
Glad you enjoyed it Jenny, part 2 on Maldon Town is out soon
Terrific. I loved Maldon. Always wanted to live there! Don't forget Maldon's railway history and Maldon East Station...
Nice one matey, and yeah the railway station is in the next video...editing the beast as we speak!
