i think maybe if they just made the totems only drop when the chieftains die, and then adjusting the timers and such accordingly would have been better. something more deterministic

That's something I actually did last season: ua-cam.com/video/jbVUAQLSPUg/v-deo.html - while we don't have the same suite of artifact mods, the same approach would still work
@jaircstx3 used a getaway artist build with the salvation edge raid sword for first encounter and a dawn chorus build with dragons breath and the new solar rocket sidearm for the ogre and final boss
The first and final are fairly easy to clean up with a good build. The second one is really the only war crime, but D-breath plus scatter signal is a great strat if you're not in the mood for anything crazy.
Curious as to why strand rocket sidearm would be a better choice over stand fusion with controlled burst, is the added dps not worth it for either 2nd or 3rd encounter?
The last 3 weeks I've been trying to do this, and the worst part is waiting for them to drop the totem. However the guy on the right at second encounter drops it pretty quick if you get him down to 1/8th hp and wait 2 seconds he 90% of the time will drop it immediately.
@mrmaxmondays they changed it so you can’t do it anymore, but you used to be able to swap to something with triple reserves, rally, get the extra ammo and swap back to whatever chest plate you were using without losing the ammo. Nowadays you need the triple reserves mod on the chest for it to work, you can’t swap or it gets rid of the extra ammo
that was only possible because you didnt have to kill anything until the boss arena, and you could cheese that as well. It may be doable now that you can pull high level whites from collections, but it would take a very long time
just find one build for each encounter, much easier...only reason he swaps on second encounter is to swap combo blow for a throwable melee for consistent radiant procs...there's usually ads in the circle so you can just punch one for radiant (or for an orb if you're not running the facet of dawn fragment)...third encounter is easy to swap out combo blow if you watch some other vids where you jump up to the next level before doing boss dmg (just make sure you have transcendence ready or you won't have a smoke bomb or whichever melee you swap to)...personally i'd go with an og void lucky pants/malfeasance build for Hefn'd...pretty much invincible with malfy + devour...and tether takes care of the eyes so you can just unload on hefn'd without worry
Curious as to why you use the strand sidearm and not something like scatter signal or any other darkness fusion. Since they're not a gun you need to hit crits with, would it be because of short ranges and damage fall off which made you want to use a rocket sidearm since it doesn't get hindered with that issue?
This is an assumption so I might be wrong. While I was watching his dps rotations, I noticed that he got to trans almost always at the same time. With the longer range of the sidearm he could easily charge the darkness meter and still put in good damage. Plus with dragon's breath(the sidearm might also have had a play in that), the boss rarely got close to him to warrant a fusion. The sidearm also has a better ammo economy which plays a huge part in solo content. Again that's just my thoughts on it. I too would probably use the sidearm if I decided to solo it.
@@Lv6_Esper yep...lead from gold plus vorpal = no running out of ammo like a fusion would, plus less reloading and faster reloading...still totally doable with scatter signal, but the overall reserves makes the call guaranteed to last the whole phase

you have to have the same super and the same aspects/fragments AND in the same order on both loadouts...changing an ability will reset the ability unless you have transcendence ready (it fills all 3 abilities on activation)...everything else can be different aside from super/aspects/fragments
Can someone explain to me how he survives going into the damagephase for Locus? I keep dying, and i have pretty much the same build. Armor charges, healing from orbs. How do you trigger solar restoration?
orb pickup from facet of purpose and a solar siphon so dragon's breath and solar hc creates orbs along the way...he also uses strand siphon for the dps phase...if you're struggling, just keep combination blow with celestial for dps and make sure you have heavy handed (i use x3 just in case) so a melee kill will drop an orb...you just won't be able to spam as many pris grenades or weaken the boss (unless he's close and you melee him from invis, but would not recommend!) so golden gun will hit for 15% less...just play it safer, a couple extra dmg phases isn't that big of a deal..also, you have time in between torches so you can go kill some nearby ads to build super/prismatic/ammo/heals etc, so don't just rush to the next circle, you have until x9 to get in the next circle (also helps to kill all but one eye to start dmg, then you can kill the last eye anytime after you start dmg)...@esoterickk is a god, don't forget!
how do you keep your transcendence when you swap loadouts? besides the mods changing all i see is the exotic pieces and the melee changing. when i swap i lose my super and transcendence
I have been trying to solo flawless ghosts of the deep and sadly the meta strat i figured out that does 4+ mil dmg consistently includes argent blades and other sword mods w 2 ergo sums. If i could guarantee my abilities worked the whole run id do it but im not ganna let devour stop working be the reason i failed a solo flawless. The artifact sword mods make for endless ergo sum ammo. The problem lies in their interaction. argent blade even bugs out swallowing all your orbs on cd.
