Neat to see that a prequel story about a phone guy is coming out. I hope this does well in terms of sales.
Honestly I could see the interactive series going quite far. For instance, people have constantly clamored for a prequel game that takes place at Fredbear's Family Diner. The one small issue with that is that Fredbear and Spring Bonnie weren't haunted, unless of course we get a lore reveal/retcon that ol' Willie has been killing people for longer than we thought. Well now, who says we need a game of the events that happened at Fredbear's when we can get an interactive novel instead that'll explain the story much easier? Or how about even before that when Fredbear was an attraction in a traveling circus? How about what happened to Jeremy after Night 6? The possibilities are so abundant that Scott and the lads would have to be almost mad to not pursue them.

7:31 I just realized he's talking about the suits because he knows that's where he'll end up after like 4 years of being invested in this franchise. And he's asking the player to check the suits because he said he's gonna try to hold out, aka, try not to die immediately so there's the possibility of him being saved. And then he talks about wondering what was in the empty heads in the past tense because he already knows by now.
Oh, for the book itself and what's in it, I'm ready to be disappointed. I just think this sounds too good to be true and I could see them messing this up somehow, but I really hope it's about phone guy and it gives us some grounded lore. I've had the impression that if there was ever a time where they'd go back to the old series, they'd retrofit it with the stuff SL introduced. If it's actually good, I can't wait for more installments. Fnaf's characters aren't super fleshed out in most cases, for some reason the toy animatronics are really fleshed by this series' standards out and I have no clue why, but I'm not complaining. At the very least I'd love to read a few lines of duologue from every FNaF 2 night guard to get a tiniest idea of how they'd act.
This kind of thing is what Fazbear frights should've been in the first place in my opinion, giving your universe some extra depth doesn't solve all of the lore, it can give us some insights into character mindsets and could further help theorist connect the dots by using the personalities given in the stories written and understand what actions they may make in situations. After Sister location there could have been a series that ran until FNaF 6 was released showing us what happened in that time between the two games, and things would make more sense. And you can still have fun side stories that exist in the same universe. Fazbear Entertainment realistically would have opened locations everywhere to be as successful as it is now, so many of those stories on a basic level could work, but I'm kind of biased because I want Fetch to be canon, I don't understand why he isn't, again, on a basic level. You know, minus the soul stuff that may or may not cause the game universe to implode.

You know wouldn’t it be hilarious that for the 10 year anniversary we actually learn the actual name of one of the unnamed characters in this franchise and instead of it being for say the crying child or William’s wife no….it’s the name of our favourite phone pal 😊
Imagine an interactive novel on the Funtimes and we can see if they are haunted

Mike, Jeremy & Fritz could get stories. I still think Mike isn't Michael so please don't come after me & the other two are just separate characters to me. If you think all three of them are just random names used by Michael, that's fine too😅

This new series of interactive books has very good potential, I hope it's not bad, if it's bad, it will be a disappointment 😥. It could be books 100% connected to games, I wanted a book about Crying Child, Jeremy Fitzgerald, Fritz Smith.

Phone guy was technically in the movie, cause William was giving some story about the pizzeria to mike and I guess that was phone guy

This is going to be my first and prob the best fnaf book imma buy
I'm in the same boat as you on the books. Generally, I do not really care about them one bit: the lore is complicated enough as it is, though John FuhNaff has done an excellent job at connecting how the books parallel the plots for the games. But an interactive novel that may actually go in depth on the actual canon happenings of the games, specifically the stuff we know very little about such as Phone Guy in this case? I might actually pick this one up.
