I'm thinking that if you are a small studio or one-man-band then something like this would be amazing. The only big problem with this is that you need to have developed a load of good 3D skills to be able to properly use this. You'd need to retopo the mesh and possibly even sculpt further/sharper detail into the mesh that the AI creates. The point is that if you are making a game or a movie, then this will save you a lot of time that you can instead spend on animating, set design, lighting, etc, etc.
I think that's more a question for a lawyer. However, I'm sure if you are not attempting to copy anyone else's work, and you are not using the likeness of someone in real life without their permission, it is unlikely you could be successfully sued.
From now on what's better is we become better content creators. Means using AI to speed up things and getting better at content creating, that's my thoughts after seeing this.

Oh please I never seen the term artist have such a bland uninspired title as I do today, especially with the word digital added to it. So instead of using your brush like a paint an entire tree practically in Photoshop it’s just one more step of actually having the AI do a little better a lot faster wow surprise surprise never saw this coming huh? I sure did. 30 years ago when I was ushering at all the pre-press, the airbrush artists , photo labs all right out of their jobs just 2 to 5 years ..but none of them like a bunch of big babies like you guys are. The his two decade blip of this digital mess with humans trying to make it is already over thank God with all the CGI crap …machines will finally be making what they do best, the stuff we can’t. Do you wanna be an artist all right then go pick up a brush I make some real art or start drawing those cells for the animation for the bespoke human animation community. The door is closing on everybody is an artist. Sorry.
Artists use blender because it requires craftsmanship, A.I. just requires typing out a request that works, no craftsmanship required. I'm disappointed every time a video advocating A.I. generation to even partially replace a beloved software application with a storied history that goes back decades. Please consider an alternative way of demonstrating A.I. apps.
honestly there is a huge amount of work that needs to be done on these AI models to get them ready for rigging, animation, re-texturing, etc, they have horrible topology and have to be retopoed completely. Texturing is particularly bad since it bakes in all the lighting. These are only really useful for very low res animation or background assets.
I'm quite sure that during the 15th century in which typography and printing were invented, some people complained about all the people that were going to lose their jobs as book copiers. Stop whining and adapt. Technology cannot be stopped. Talent will find new ways of expressing itself. Or get left behind. Your choice.
Another free tool is "Instant Meshes" for remeshing dense models. It was originally designed to make good meshes out of point clouds from scanning.

I really don't want this to be the future of 3D modeling. Things were getting so good until AI came and ruined everything.
I not long setup and installed a similar thing called TripoSR, but it does require some work to get it to run.
I have it installed via Pinokio but currently getting an error when I try to open it. Hopefully I'll get it working eventually.
