I'm gonna need you to dramatically increase your rate of production of these videos. Then buy/renovate another house. Then produce a bunch more videos. These are so good.
Can’t believe this room took two years 🤦🏼♀️😂 any questions about the episode, room renovation, or decor? Leave ‘em below and we will try and answer them on Thursday’s podcast!
When I built my own house one day, I will take a ton of inspiration from you guys aka "Monochromatic Couple" :) Such a wonderful result. Looking forward to next Sunday!
LOVE this room! And I love this channel too (new-ish subscriber here). I do have a question though, why no window treatment? As a guest in a semi-unfamiliar room/house, I'd freak at night with no window dressing. TO ME, these windows are screaming for those automatic window shades! Imagine all those windows with automatic shades rolling down at the same time at the push of a button - they're so cool. But that's just me and my totally amateur opinion, lol. Anyway, thanks for the great video! (I love the longer ones!) Can't wait for next episode!
@@-sil they do have shades! But they are pretty minimal at the top of the window. They are cellular shades that have a small button you can pull down and have them at any height. I chose them so they disappeared into the window and weren’t obvious because I’m not a fan of blinds in a room until I’m sleeping 😂
Why do I feel the need to just completely gut my entire house right now. This series is so well done and really inspiring! Thank you for all the hard work you guys are putting into this. Can't wait for next Sunday!
On my mid 20's and coming from a gaming community to wanting to expand my interest of vlogging and photography; and after watching your channel for a year, I'm into home decor 😅 Keep up the awesome work!
I love it all!! I’m taking note of all your videography and angles and speeds and focal lengths… 😂😂 Watching this makes me want to learn more and more about videography!
@@BeckiandChris Thank you for taking the time to reply! I just got a new place that needs some new paint, and because of your series I'm now super excited to dive in and try to transform it!
Congrats on the series! My question is the following. Do you ever fear running out of renovation projects? Assuming that you will not leave Buffalo for a long time, and that the house has a fixed amount of rooms - you mentioned having a cabin project, but that will eventually be done also- I wonder if the ‘optimal’ strategy is to leave a couple of years between projects to make sure you will always have another. Love the series! Congrats again!
The scene with the spider made me question whether or not a spider could survive being sucked into a vacuum, so I paused and searched for 20 minutes to find decent answers.
Me before the makeover: 😬Man, that's an awkwardly shaped room with lots of closets and doors. Me after the makeover: 😍What an amazing room with such cool architectural features! That's the sign of a great interior designer! You made everything fit and flow so perfectly, it looks like the room was designed around the furniture and features. Love the modern, minimalist vibe. Simply beautiful.
Man this series is AWESOME ! so much to take inspiration from, SO much to do... it will take me... 10 years 🙃 Also, 24 minutes and I didn't even move an inch from the screen. story telling at it's best!
only 12 secs in and IMM IN LOVEEEEEEEE.. cant watch now have 100 headshots to complete. fuck. Cant wait to see you mono styled kids.;) however , I think your mad about taking that carpet out. So wasteful.
Gorgeous, seamless, modern , Clean look. The 2 yr Sh&$show Def paid off! Great shelf spacer fix ! You guys are a great Team. Love the Idea of the Move-in Guest room. 👍🏼
Hi Guys I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you both for making the video on how to create a small youtube set with the grey painted movable background and the side table and arm chair, it looks great and you provided practical useful real steps so we can achieve this look at home, Really appreciate it! Have a wonderful weekend :)
I'm obsess with you guys! I watched the whole video. Really love your work and find them very inspiring. it's insane the work you guys have put in. Definitely stealing ideas for your guys now XD
The room turned out great! You can still add a not-so-deep dresser at tht window by the closet by removing the back legs the dresser's back bottom where you remove the legs can sit on the ledge, I did this for a design project it worked out great for added storage... I kept the legs because if ever they can be reattached...
@becki @Chris.. this is to funny, we did the exact same thing.. We renovated our place.. what makes me laugh is we did the same painted the whole house decorates white, and Kaylee found Black handles like yours online we replaced them, and even the hinges! Like you said, lets hope they come off and go right back on and everything works.. but it never does.
If you get rid of spiders, it just means you haven't had enough nights ruined by mosquitos or flies. Wait til it happens... you're going to love spiders.
Thank you for normalizing starting a project, getting 90% done, then walking away for two years. That is most of my house projects and it makes me feel better to know I'm not alone.
A breath taking job! I wish I could just copy and paste this room into my own bedroom so I didn’t have to renovate myself because this room is exactly my mood board 😂
Love this series . You guys inspired me to paint my bedroom and studio . It looks so much better . I got mad expensive paint too which is totally recommend people spending a bit more and doing it themselves because the results will speak for themselves . Keep inspiring guys ! Yes ! 💪🏼
Love the aesthetic of the intermittent clips with details, cereal magazine with a green branch cover surrounded by wood and ceramic textures. All so different than what you see on TV. Different presentation and aesthetic. Keep it coming.
The 3D print timelapse into intro frame is PERFECT. As a creative going through home reno myself, you two have inspired me to document some of my own DIY and projects. Who knows if i'll ever get around to editing and publishing, but at least I can record the content and have it ready. So excited to see the rest of this series!
I just love everything about this, from the floors, to the overall color scheme, to your attention to details. I also find it so inspiring how you two handle any obstacles that come up along the way. Can’t wait for next week’s episode!
Looks great and loving the series. Would you be able to tell me what finish the engineered hardwood flooring is? I didn't see it listed on the blog post.
I had one of those hammocks in the garage. Hardware failed! Turns out you stay in the exact position you reclined in as you fall. I survived however my fresh xl Tim's coffee did not. What's even worse is the wife and her sister saw it. Lol ! GREAT VID!
I'm gonna need you to dramatically increase your rate of production of these videos. Then buy/renovate another house. Then produce a bunch more videos. These are so good.

Thank you Jeff!
Thank you for sticking around, 24 minutes is a long one!
Hahahaha this is how you know both of us are in the comments today 🤣
You are both such an inspiration, everything you do is my aesthetic to a T
I am 100% in on this series. Crushed it!
You two are just so good at this! I love your style and when I build my house I will definitely be referencing some of the things you do!!
Two years in the making - crazy fun 🤪 The end result looks awesome 👏
Thanks Ben!
Looks epic guys! Got some great sized rooms to work with! ⚡️
Thanks guys! We do! And a few real weird ones! Those should be a fun challenge
this series is just so insanely satisfying to watch, i cannot wait to see next week's episode !!!
sir , respect the Kobalt lol jk I said the same as 7:05 and three years and two decks its a little crunchy but still cutting 😂

What color white paint did you use for the walls and trim?
Decorators white by Benjamin Moore in Regal Select Matte! Used it on walls, trim, ceiling, and doors!

I don’t think we will ever run out of projects, we’ve got plans for after the cabin build and the cabin build will be multi phase! 😊

The room is sooooo beautiful! I’m definitely taking some inspiration 😅😅
I feel your pain in renovating a room but love the final product. Looks so inviting for your guests/family.
Hey guys can you put the bed the tables and all other stuff in the description cause Iiterally want all that stuff ... PLEASE AND THANKS
**Two years later... "Welcome back to the episode"....
Me: Hey.. whoa whoa, wait a minute, what just happened?
I have DARK hard wood floor, how do i know if its mold or not (from where a plant was?).. will it spread, HOW TO TELL! ?

You're reno-ing an entire house and purchasing the cheapest, crappiest tools you can find?! Sweet baby jesus, say it ain't so :D
15:12 ==> the table saw blade should never be up more than 1-2mm above the material. Even with a Sawstop, you can injure yourself with a kickback.
“Giant spider!” Not by Aussie standards 😂. Loving the series guys.

Wait....was that 24 minutes. That almost felt short. I could easily watch a 45 minute episode, awesome!!!
daaaang, I want that to be my room, lol
It’s really comfy down there!

Really well-made - love this video! One question. I missed the part about why there was a two-year gap... did I miss something?
Love the look! I checked the blog for the product links but don't see the floor you used listed. Which Click Lock floor did you use? Thanks!

RTFM.

Hi. Do you have any preview of the house from the outside and also from the top (drone view). At least we have an idea on how the house looks like 😅

Go team ryobi and occasionally other select tools from other brands to get the job done 👍😆
is that the ground beam, inside the box-up?
What’s the app you use on iPad to draw over the floor plan?
