Oh yeah the deflecting hardtear actually makes the fight kinda fun honestly. Low-key I wish they made it a standard feature for shields, maybe without the guard boost to balance it a little bit. I still used the mimic tear on the second phase, cause trying to deal with the orbital laser light beams at the end of each of his attacks was way too annoying for me. But I probably could have done it with optimal stats or whatever.
STATS: Including the seven attempts with friends he mentioned at the beginning of the video, Zanny died 63 times to Promised Consort Radahn, succeeding on his 64th. He reached phase 2 in 32 of the 57 attempts on this video, netting him a 56.14% second phase rate in this video (yes, I counted the ones where he died and got carried by his mimic to the cutscene, only to die on frame 1 of phase 2).

Has anyone else noticed the mimic is really stupid until you die then they seem to snap out of it and launch a full assault when its fading to black? Because that's what I've noticed if me or the mimic survive that long 😂

Zanny be like "Wow these great maces got me amazing and consistent results, I have to switch back to the dual Giant-Crushers" Also funnily enough Radahns attacks in 2nd phase are very similar to Waterfowl Dance, if you run away from the meteos they will miss and the clones will miss as well, and then you roll into the last attack to dodge it entirely, similar to Waterfowl Dance, its just kinda hard to figure out cause you wanna dodge the meteors by running sideways like in phase 1.

As someone who gets summoned for Radahn here, Bleed is the only way to go for 3 person scaling. Like, if I get summoned with anyone who keeps aggro we can burn him in under a minute for phase 1, but otherwise it takes a while

Do people actually hate the radahn fight other than the fact I would have prefered maybe Godwynn the fight was pretty cool and challenging took me like 9 hours or something but it was my favourite fight in the whole game with the white lightning sword from the dlc

They NEED to put ansbach’s and Thiollier’s summon signs inside the arena so the boss doesn’t get scaled up, it’s actually impossible to beat him with both summons
Imma be honest. i didn't enjoy promised Consort Radahn. It was difficult, it took me multiple sessions, i had max Scadutree blessing, and then I beat him. No sense of accomplishment, even when I learned the moves I still didn't have fun. Maybe I didn't enjoy it because I gaslit myself into thinking Godwyn was gonna be the final boss somehow.
Imo PC Radahn is well designed with the exception of how much damage he does to my graphics cards. He beat my ass for 50 attempts before I beat him with mimic. Once you learn where to dodge he becomes more fair. Really it’s just a classic Soulsbourne Learning Curve. Though one attack: the two swipes to scissor slash is impossible for me to dodge fully. I always get clipped by one of the first two attacks.

I find the hitboxes on Radahn's swords insanely frustrating. Like they are clearly well past the actual model, and the visual slash during a swing.
