What they should do is get a mural of each album done at various places in Sacramento, each with part of a link on it and the link goes to an unreleased song. That would be great.

I feel like Tilian's singing about the arrogance of people who are really gifted or intelligent. Like, some people (musicians, chess players, etc.) are just naturally good at their craft and advance in it really fast, but they forget what it was like to be a beginner. They let their skill "get to their head" and look down on everyone who's trying to learn. I especially get this from the part where he sings, "Sorry didn’t mean to flex

Im a relativly new fan, I started listening to DGD back in like july or August of last year, so this is like the first brand new full album that I get to experience with all the other fans and it feels so good. So far every song on this album sounds amazing and im so hyped for the rest of the album, got it preordered!

Feels like this song is talking about clout chasers and those "inspirational" entrepreneurs who make you feel worthless for just having a regular job. I think it also hits on those people who make posts and videos with their big houses and fancy cars and then saying they're not trying to flex but "look what I did" but in actuality it's all stuff they rented for a day to look rich. Or they make up fantastic stories about what they did but none of its real. 'Sometimes, lyrics lie.'
Definitely interpreted it along these lines as well
We've fostered a culture of appearance before achievement; The (fake) "story" of your struggle matters more (in regards to content creation) than what you actually achieve. This is spot on. It hurts those who are actually out there creating and trying to be true without bloating our story, but if we don't accentuate our story to be a Michael Bay-esque drama we get forgotten/left behind.

Not always...There’s some real people out there and legit opportunities you have to do you your research. Also most jobs don’t care about you either....they’ll replace you as soon as you are no longer useful to them.

One thing I'll always respect about this band is the consistency in their album artwork. It all has the same unique aesthetic that's so recognizable. From Downtown Battle Mountain to Afterburner they all look so good too
I first heard DGD at a party when I was 15 (I'm 28 now) it was their first cd. The song was "the backwards pumpkin song" I've been a huge fan ever since through all the albums and singers. These dudes seriously have a unique talent and I thank them for making such badass music.🤙

Even in acceptance speech his vocals had a really small distortion to them. And in live concert he adds a lot of distortion as well.
