Yes, they can open it and spit on the food just to following a TikTok trend.
I had a door dash driver (Indian off the boat immigrant) drop my pizza out of the box in his car and tried to hide behind the car door and put it back in. The pizza was crumpled and I called him out and he played dumb. Door dash only refunded me 21 out of the 32 dollars and didn't care that I was delivered unsafe food. I cancelled after that.

Unlike in East Asian and GCC countries, many people in the US aren't ashamed of being violent/ crooked and want to be feared. I think many people in the country have child-like mentality, emotion and intelligence, because of the unaffordable high-quality university education. No wonder they always try to make a situation when getting apprehended by the officers, to sue the police department
The USA has had seven plus DECADES of preferential hiring of minorities, college and Univ. preferred entrance, free scholarships, forgiven student loans......and education only became unaffordable when rich elites realized their average kids place at Harvard was being bumped......so jack up the entry fees. There's something else at work here in the USA.

It's sad that people are like this. I would put some kind of harsh electric shock so that if someone touches it they get a hella shock. People just don't care about things they don't personally have to pay for, In fact they just want to destroy it so that the cost of goods go up.
