Hi Chris, thanks for the video, it was nice to see familiar birds. We also have great cormorants and tree sparrows and also common terns and spoonbills in European part of Russia. It is a pity that last time I've visited Japan I was not into birding. Maybe I'll try next time. Good luck!
Hi, Chris. Greetings from HONG KONG 🇭🇰 SAR. A gentle reminder,…..as I had lived in Tokyo in the past for 11 years, the district is pronounced ASA KU SA, rather than ‘Asaksa’. Many westerners who go visit Tokyo mispronounced this district, even for foreigners living and working in Japan. The Eurasian Tree Sparrow is very common all over the world 🌍. I just call them by their ‘nickname’, “city sparrows” 🤣🤣😂😁. As for the White-Wagtail, the Japanese Wagtail, the Pied Wagtail, and the Grey Wagtail, ……for some reasons……the IUCN has lumped these birds together in the same family as ONE single bird, despite their plumage, habits, etc. I also watched your birding video from OKINAWA. Apparently, the Redstart Daurian is a common visitor (migrant) to Japan 🇯🇵. I had only seen it ONCE in the New Territories of Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR, and it was more than eight 8️⃣ years ago. Since then, I had never seen it again. For some reasons, according to the IUCN, the Japanese Wagtail, the White Wagtail, the Pied Wagtail and the Grey Wagtail are all lumped together as one single bird. The Light-vented Bulbul aka Chinese Bulbul is a common bird in and near the beachfront promenade in the New Territories of Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. They are everywhere, along with the Red-whiskered Bulbul. The Varied Tit is endemic to northern 🇯🇵 Japan and easily seen with a trained eye. They are pretty common there in their region.
Incredible video after incredible video! Keep them coming Chris! So many cool birds!
Wow thanks Jordan!
Awesome! Ill be there next month. I live in Okinawa and enjoyed your Okinawa video, too.
Woah! What’s your favorite part of living in Okinawa?

Thanks for the correction! I'll be sure to pronounce it correctly in the future. What’s your favorite part of my video!
Seems like you’ve been everywhere! Cool video!
